I was a fan of Bob from when he first broke out in the early 60s. We bought his LPs and watched him on Ed Sullivan and the Tonight Show. I wish I had those albums now!
“The Bob Newhart Show” debuted in Fall ‘72, just after I’d graduated from high school. Bob’s second hit show, “Newhart”, came out ten years later. I love both sitcoms (as well as some of his other shows that failed to take off) but Bob and Emily and their entire cast of zany friends and patients will always hold first place in my heart.
Another button-down mind finally unbuttoned.
