"State energy and environmental affairs secretary Richard Sullivan told the Associated Press: "The facts appear to indicate that a woman was in the water for a number of days and not noticed by staff, patrons or other inspections that may have taken place.

The inspector approved the pool, but noted in his report that the water was cloudy", said Mr Flanagan, adding that the public pool had remained open to swimmers from Sunday through Tuesday.

State public health medical director Dr Lauren Smith said: "I want to reassure the public that, as disturbing as it is to you, there are no health risks associated with this."

Maybe they thought she was doing the dead man's float....for a really, really long time. :dunno

everyone who was managing that pool and the public swimming in it must still be in the 1st grade. or have the IQ of a first grader to not realize there was a body in the pool. even if it was at the bottom you think someone would dive down and see it. if the pool was to murky to see the body then the swimmers really do have the IQ of a first grader if they still went swimming. that's gross.

l don't even go in my dads hot tub if it's a little bit cloudy. that means there is no chemicals or chlorine in the water. which means it's a germ bath.

I'm pretty sure I would've stepped on her if I was in that pool. I'm not a very strong swimmer so I just sort of walk around in the water like a goon.

I read that the other day. Pretty gross I gotta say. Bad enough thinking what's in the water when you involuntarily swallow some of it. Now you have to worry about bloated corpses.

This is just mind boggling... really having a hard time fathoming how cloudy water would be to obscure a corpse :huh

You'd think if the water was that cloudy it would be worth investigating what was causing it :lol
