Bowen Bronze Doom

Were these at a price increase on Bowen's site?

I actually got this too tonight.



I'm a big fan of Bowen but not a fan of Bowen's bronze but I already have the standard version of this statue and it's still one of my favorite Bowen FS. I just couldn't pass it up tonight.

I forgot about the newsleetter, i was watching the draft. I got cap last week which is the only must have besides DD. I just cant get why these are so expensive? Its the same statue that they already produced with a new paint job. Price is keeping me out of this line.

I just missed it also. Went to add it to my cart when it still showed about 5 left and it was sold out. I jumped right on the wait list though. Not sure even if it converts I will keep it but I might. I have cap on order and plan on keeping him. I just missed Wolverine but jumped on his wait list right away also. I kind of hope he converts. Of course I want Daredevil the most and he will probably go up next week when I am out of town. So anybody wanting DD I bet he goes up next week.

It was posted over at SF that the paint job takes longer for these colored bronze pieces...not as simple as say the Sideshow bronze pieces or a standard piece.

Danno over there described it...I will try to find it.

That is why they cost more....so they say...regardless, I think they are very elegant looking pieces for sure.

I am glad they are not real bronze because then I would only buy one...

Bowen definately has a step up when going faux over SS IMO...and I think I read the same thing as Gruson...the process is what drives the price up.

All of these were up for order at Bowen' site for about a week or more. Plus if you were a collector's club member you got 10% off. Paying full retail at Sideshow doesn't seem like something I would feel good about jumping on.

well, I live in UK so this is my only chance to get them at retail price as bowen don't ship outside US
