Bowen Designs vs. sideshow? or Diamond Select?

How does sideshow compare to Bowen and Diamond Select statues? I just bought my first Marvel PF of Rogue EX by sideshow. I have a few horror pf's as well. Im talking quality and size.

Bowen has made some great stuff, and has had flops as well. But so has Sideshow. It really comes down to which statue you are talking about.

Don't own but maybe 1 DS statue. Don't care for them.

I like both Company. Maybe i will like Bowen more if they make Marvel 1/4 scale statue.

I only own a small handful of Bowen but there really should be no comparison. SSC wins hands down. There in-house sculptors are what sets them apart. I am SSC for life.

I like a lot of bowen statues but I think there over priced when an extra $100 most the time will get you a 1/4 sideshow statue. Also there worst than Hot Toys when it comes to repeating. SIDESHOW! WOOT WOOT!

Same here. Magneto is my favorite statue that's been released so far this year.
For 170$ you can't go wrong

If there was a way to get Bowen's art direction with Sideshow for classic Marvel characters it would be great. Especially for older or obscure characters.

That rule would also apply to characters like Silver Surfer. Bowen's destroys Sideshows. Imagine Bowen's in 1/4 scale.

I'd kill for a (slightly less rigid) 1:4 version of the Bowen standing surfer, and I own the Comiquette.

why you even mention bowen and diamond select in the same sentence as sideshow?

i am not a big fan of sideshow's quality lately, but still...bowen??!?! and diamond select? wtf is diamond select, dont they make toys r us crap

This! Koto has stepped the heck up. And so has Bowen. I prefer the 1/4 scale Sideshow uses, but can't deny the sculpts on some newer Kotos and Bowens look just as good if not better than SS. They all have their paint issues so they're unfortunately equal on that level. If Bowen and Koto ever did 1/4, SS would be in trouble.

Koto
- Koto's new Spider-Man (I'm biased) and Cyclops look good. Their Magneto blows SS's Comiquette away.
- Sideshow's old Avengers PFs might be coveted, but Koto's Classic Avengers line up is shaping up good and is much more affordable for newer collectors who want to build a complete team of Avengers.
- Koto now has the great looking Daredevil statue SS should have been made as a PF.

Bowen
- Bowen's Deadpool Action statue looks better than SS's PF.
- Bowen's new Scarlet Witch statue is what SS's PF should have been.
- The 1/8 - 1/6 scale might be smaller than my liking, but statues like Classic Thor Action statue make Bowen win.
- For museum statues, obscure characters and costumes, you can't beat Bowen. They rock the museum pose, which doesn't seem as good when SS tries it.

They all have great stuff, beyond specific sculpts it falls down to scale.

in almost all cases, SS> Bowen, but I have to agree, the new X-Force DP by Bowen looks way better.

Going back to my love of Koto, the sculpts are better and being 1/6 they allow for more detail than Bowen. I have the Koto Magneto and it is flawless, paint is great and the poses are just awesome(the Bowen Mags looks like he's impersonating dracula). I caint wait for the Koto X-Force Wolvie and the DRS Cyke.

Bowen and Sideshow both make great stuff. I think Diamond Select only makes action figures now.
