i'm not sure i've seen this version of jean grey before. labeled jean grey, black queen, she has a removable cape and looks more like an AH creation.

ultron was shown in another thread but he deserved his own thread. bowen continues to produce the BEST marvel statues and the character subjects most companies just dream of. great stuff!

This is blasphemy. Let me drop some knowledge on y'all.

In the "Dark Phoenix Saga", Mastermind tampers with Jean's mind, convincing her she's a Victorian aristocrat and the Black Queen of the Hellfire Club. She turns on her friends, but then loses control of her powers and becomes the Dark Phoenix.

Its from one of the most rememorable and iconic sagas in Comic Book history.

i have been very civil to people here lately, but i don't appreciate digs and insults.

to answer your question, i don't read comic books but i enjoy marvel characters so no, i'm not 12 and i don't know the classic x-men history.

second, the previous picture of ultron was posted in an unrelated thread, so i gave him his own thread along with the announcement of jean grey, being that both are new products up for pre-order.

Chill out man...my comments weren't meant as a dig or insult hence the use of smileys.

I don't know how old you are but if you know who Jean is I thought you would also have known about the greatest story arc in X-Men history to old school fans. I did find the wording of Ultron needing his own thread yet sharing a thread humorous though.

you got it for a great price I think.But as nice a statue this is, the sculpt cant touch the one by Sideshow.

i haven't bought it yet, just price checking. you're right about not being able to touch SS's, i noticed that about all of them that i saw there...plus they're not mixed media but I realize I don't have room for a lot of Marvel PF's....or at least not a lot of them so I'm going bowen for most of the ones i want. it's hard to spend $300 for Bowen when you can get a lot bigger/better statue from SS....BUT they're also so much bigger. decisions, decisions.

I personally think the bowen cap sculpt is great. The SS PF is also great, but I have more of an interest in fully sculpted than mixed media for some reason.
