Maybe if it came out in 60s/70s when western was hot then it would've been a much bigger hit ?

Could it work today , perhaps a new toon or live action movie ?
 
Unfortunately it feels like westerns are an even harder sell these days.
 
Don't remember Saber Rider but Galaxy Rangers was freaking awesome & that intro song was easily one of the best of the 80's

Bravestarr is a weird one, I remember getting some of the toys & watching the cartoon but it never really clicked with me like most of the others at the time.
I honestly can't see it being any better now either
 
I still have the toy of the villain, can't remember his name. Looks like one of the aliens from They Live. :lol

When I watched GR it was random. Almost like it rotated with other shows during the same time slot in the afternoon. So different shows on different days.
