Is there a thread for this? Direct me if so.

Last night I got in a 1/6 waistcoat for my Simon figure. I heard the 12" (this is the Liam figure ssc offered in the Buffy line. Just using his body) figure making a noise at the top part. Like something was loose. Then the neck part just came out and was broken in 2. Part of the neck staid in and the other is out. I have never been rough with this thing but I guess sometimes it can't be helped. I was wondering, do I need to go and buy a whole new figure, or can I get this part somewhere? Normally I would just glue it back on and be done with it. But the way it broke gives no means of fixing it. I can usually fix anything!

I looked on ebay and found necks but they weren't for this figure. Hopefully someone knows what I could do, other than buy a new one. If I need a new one, let's hope I find a good deal. Good like $10 (how much I paid for mint Qui Gon Jinn)

Thanks for reading.

It would help to see the nature of the break. If you can, take a picture or 2 of the damage and post them. There might be a way of salvaging the figure, depending on the type of break...PS

If the neck broke not much you can do to fix it. Try and glue it together with the spring section raised in the middle. Other than that, new body time!

Well, I broke the rest of the neck out and shook all of the loose pieces that got stuck inside the body. I glued the two main broken neck pieces together and then glued that to the body. It's just Liam, he kind of sucks anyways, bit miss from ssc for me, lol. :monkey1 Love you Sideshow... :1-1:

So I'll just heat the head well enough so that when I put it back on the glued neck, I don't hear another *snap*
:slap

Replacing the body is usually not a big deal on these figures... Toy Anxiety sells them for around $10 a piece usually. Just heat up the hands, boots/shoes and head in boiling water to pull them off and to put them on the new body.

Do make sure you buy the correct sized body... not familiar enough with the line to say which body is right, but I'd guess the standard is what you'd need.

I always heat everything up before pulling it off. But I am fine with just gluing it back together since I don't care much for the figure. BUT, if I do need figures in the future, I will buy from TA. I have before. Great service.

Yeah, really just sounds like that neck was flawed to begin with. I had one figure that no matter how much I let it warm up the head would just not come off... eventually the neck gave out and it was body swap time :lol
