Interesting. I live 45 minutes from Boston. It would be very cool to meet some of the Buffy cast there. Surprised Eliza Dushku isn't on the list since she is from originally from Boston, MA...

Yea, but she also still has fairly steady work.

The unfortunate reality is that the reason you see these stars at alot of the more minor cons is because some of thier careers have fizzled out and they need the money.

But regardles of why they are there, its still a cool chance to meet them, and I live fairly close so I may go.

I hear you. What about James Marsters, then? He seems to show up in all sorts of things like smallville, and caprica lately (even the new hawaii 5-O), but still goes to alot of conventions? I'm just curious.

Granted he did a few guest spots on Smallville, but it wasnt frequent and the last time he appeared was 3 seasons ago. Havent seen Caprica so I dont know how big his role is, but its clear that the work is not steady. Cons are a good way to suppliment his income and make sure he is financially secure incase the next role doesnt come for a few months.

I'd still love to go to this. I've met all of the stars attending (Buffy-wise), but still, the "rush" never goes away. I've got to start saving for SDCC, so this is pretty much ruled out for myself.
