I want to put my home videos onto a dvd. I have nero but it's expired and I don't want to buy it again. Anyone know of a good burning program that I can put videos, avi, wmv, whatever on a dvd?

I have used Roxio in the past, seems to work OK...BTW, how you doin?
That Avy looks much Better....

Nero
dvd2one
dvd decrypter
dvd shrink
clone DVD/CD
Roxio

Edit: and also search the micorsoft downloads for windows movie maker and similar free downloads

I have ripit4me and dvd shrink and decrypter, etc. But I thought those were for duplicating a disc? I have these avi files on my pc and want to burn them to one. If they do that, I don't know how to use them correctly.

I made a great slideshow and .avi movie converted to DVD using a combination of:

windows movie maker (download from ms)
DVD2one
and another program I can't think of to put the menu system on the disc.

Download movie maker and then see if you have any questions. It's a great starting point and it's free and legal.

Adobe Premier is also a very powerful tool, but rather expensive, and a bit of a learning curve.

Worked for me. I hit the icon. When it comes up cd/data dvd I hit next. I hit no multisession. Hit the add files icon. Select a file (movie file). Hit burn disk, on the left. Then hit burn on the next window. Plays alright on my dvd player.
