I'm pretty sure if I dug through my comics, I could find the issue (#201, forget title) that was supposed to be the first appearance of cable, as a baby or something. He was huge when I was collecting in in late 80's early nineties. Him and Bishop. I think it was Liefeld that drew a kickass Cable. Didn't he get his start in New Mutants? last several issues
