Anyone know the artist? Apparently it was a postcard. Anyone know if was ever a poster or a print?

Are you sure? I saw someone credit McQuarrie on pinterest but then when I followed the link to the website someone else claimed that the McQarrie credit was incorrect. It kind of looks like his style but I can't really trace it back to him officially.

I don't think it's McQuarrie either. It almost looks like John Berkey's work, but I can't be sure. I don't think I've ever seen that painting before...and I've seen a lot of Star Wars art.

It doesn't look like Tom Jung's style to me. I don't know. Now you've got me wondering. :lol

Backyard Barry?

Looks like fan-art to me, but I could be wrong.

Might be worth checking the Steve Sansweet Star Wars Poster Book?

I've got the OT on VHS as a set and the box art for each episode looks very similar in style to that piece you're inquiring about.
Not sure who the artist is though.

I think the VHS box art for the ESB was just the poster art Roger Kastle did. My copy's packed away somewhere, so I can't check.

I'm sure you're right.
I've got to dig up those VHS tapes in the garage. They're in there somewhere. :D

I have this postcard, and the artwork is credited to.... (dumroll)... Ralph McQuarrie. :)

Classico San Francisco 376-011, if anyone's interested.

I think I have just about every OT postcard ever released. :D
