sorry to announce guys but i made some cuts to my pre-orders. due to the lack of announcements to the LOTR lines i got a little overzealous and pre-ordered a lot of things. so this morning i checked it all out and decided which were top priority and which weren't.
Cancelled:
Ash PF
White Queen Comiquette
Mary Jane Comiquette
remaining LOTR 12" figures
several 12" star wars figures.
Still on order:
Captain America PF exclusive --- i can't live without this one
Captain America PF regular --- supplemental
Darth Maul PF regular --- according to sideshow i wasn't loyal enough to order the exclusive.
12" star wars Jedi figures and Asajj Ventress
Medicom Black suit spidey and Venom
Medicom Jango Fett
Medicom Boba Fett.

sorry guys but i had to do it. my money is now going towards something more meaningful to me.

Hey man, no need to apologize about having to cancel, other things in life carry more weight than toys, no matter how cool they are. I understand how it goes though cancel orders and pulling back from collecting some. I've been here a lot less than I used to be, and I feel like I am abandoning my sideshow friends sometime!

I see no huge loss. You're still picking up a lot of potential grails. Who cares what the rest of us think! That's a lot of cabbage, so if there is something more worthwhile for you to put that money towards than some pieces of polystone and plastic, you go ahead and do it. But don't apologize. I don't see why you're apologising, I think you're doing the smart thing cancelling the things you no longer want.

I think everyone here has preordered something at some point and then when the fog has lifted thought "why the hell did I preorder that?" I've certainly done it on more than one occasion myself and even with your cancellations your preorder list is impressive.

I have canceled stuff lately too. No need to say you're sorry to the board LOL

I ditch 12" Leia, Holo Chess set, Endor Troops and other 1/6 stuff. I am only getting the Jedi/Sith and Jabba stuff in 1/6 from now on. Everything else is SS PF, CM or GG.

You are doing the right thing wookiee! It's good to contemplate the value of money sometimes. I cancelled some things also, and it looks like I'm in good company!
Of course, it's always better to be sure of what you want before you order it, so you don't have to cancel, but sometimes it is easier to give in , just in case... . Good that there are no cancellation fees, but, how would you feel about it, when the $value of all cancelled items would become Sideshow credit? It's an disturbing idea at first, but it would make people think twice about what to order. I'm not trying to find a way for SSC to punish over-active collectors here, but IF Sideshow should one day opt for some kind of "pile of loot" system like BBTS has, this could be one of the conditions.

Well, I just cancelled my Leia exclusive. It's part of my new buying strategy. The Leia would cost me 63.00 with shipping from Sideshow. I know that I can pick her up for less than that later on down the road from someone else. I have both Jango and Boba Medicoms on order and if I can save a few bucks on the Leia, it'll help with the Fett purchases. I wasn't too crazy on the exclusive anyway. Thanks for listening I just have to rationalize to myself that this is the right choice!

Cancelling happens... With everything I've got on pre-order I'm rethinking how I've been accumulating these things... Time to stretch a dollar (and to Canada I have to add above the crazy shipping customs fees as well)--- I'm thinking about cancelling many of the SW 12" Exc. that I've got ordered and simply pick them up rom a Canadian website to negate those charges--- with the money I save I could go further into the PF way....

Nothing wrong with cancelling... Just a matter of prioritising.
