They can’t get blade off the ground. Hired RDJ back as a villian, multiverse ran its course. Xmen and Spider-Man are the only thing holding it together. As it should. We will see how the new FF turns out but not since the 2000s has an FF movie ever hit it big with people. They need to really bring it with that movie.

Yea this movie just doesn’t look good. Not cause of the new cap or anything it just doesn’t seem great and the only huge draw is red hulk but since green hulk has now turned into such a ***** we probably may never see him fight him.

Man when you put it like that, this really is the lamest lineup of new superheroes ever. Shang-chi and Kate Bishop I thought were legitimately cool, but even so they're still far from Avengers-worthy.

Yes some are cool. But they have COOLER characters they could bring to the table AND be just as diverse.

They are starting to feel like WB where they don’t know what characters they have. That captain marvel push seems to be dead though now that they got the fox characters back. I have no idea why they thought she would work.

But xmen has some strong female characters. I would love to see storm front and center.

Deadpool needs to become the new iron man. and lead the new avengers.

Eh I'd have a hard time even getting excited for another Avengers with the original cast. The superhero teamup thing just feels completely played out by this point, and it's only the solo stuff that I have the slightest bit of interest in right now (the next Batman, Spidey, Daredevil, etc).

I wonder if this super early Chris Evans announcement is Marvel saying "See we're telling you right now that Woke Lecture Cap is temporary so no need to skip Cap 4. Please? Pretty please? Remember when you went and saw Captain Marvel because you thought you had to in order to understand Endgame? Can you just do that again? We promise we'll make good movies again. Eventually."

Still convinced Feige had a (great) plan through Endgame only. Been winging since then...and that wing is losing all its feathers.

Tbh I don’t think anybody even saw the first captain marvel. Wasn’t that weird? Like there was an insane push for her in like the late 10s and feige said stupidly that she was “ marvels most popular character” she’s not even the most popular female character lol.

Then like after endgame and the fox merge you barely hear about her anymore. She’s not even in the most recent marvel rivals game. Storm, squirrel girl , cloak and dagger, black widow , mantis ,magik, Penni Parker and Luna snow are. lol. I just find it funny how they tried to make her bigger than what she was and tossed her aside when they got the xmen women back .

Feige was being a good politician.

There was a horrible confluence of forces - the success of Wonder Woman, messaging (remember critics sobbing with joy over Black Panther, when if you pick it apart a lot of the story doesn't make sense and terrible CGI); the push to get cheaper which meant hiring cheaper writers.

Even the Russos have said they regret not having more time to work on IW; and the uneven editing/writing of that film shows. Then X-men was a mess anyway with licensing and reboots of story lines.

IMO as well, Brie was a miscast. A miscast teamed with showrunners who didn't care much about the comics or respecting the MCU characters we already knew. Think the tide may be turning tho, with even Deadpool taking openly taking shots at the MCU.
