This week's Captain Toy Picks...is a little different. Rather than go after specific products in a specific line, format, or theme, I'm looking at my top ten most wanted licenses in sixth scale. This is stuff that isn't currently under production anywhere, licenses and properties I love that I'd like to see in that particular format. Here's my list:

What's your list look like?

It's funny that when I look back where I was 7 or 8 years ago to today, the bulk of figures and licenses I have been interested on have materialized, though either official or unofficial channels--Marty McFly, Reeve Superman, decent 1984 Terminator figures, decent Star Wars figures, a decent Ellen Ripley, etc. On the custom side, nice versions of Blade Runner, Jack Torrance, Indiana Jones, and Teen Wolf.

There aren't nearly as many core gaps now. But a few areas I would love to expand on are:

1) horror: I like the Stephen King focus, since there are so many great Stephen King characters out there in film. But I would like to see truly high end versions of various horror characters, be it classic Hitchcock and Universal Monsters, '70s and '80s slashers, the Thing, etc.

2) musicians: We've had a smattering of these released through different channels. I still love my Hot Toys Thriller-era Michael Jacksons, and my Cheungkinmen Freddy Mercury is a centerpiece of my collection. But there are so many great musicians I would still love to see--Miles Davis, John Coltrane, the Beatles, the Police, early/mid-80s Madonna, Roth-era Van Halen, etc.

3) professional wrestlers: I have one terrific Macho Man Randy Savage custom that I obtained from another boardie, but would love to have more. It's nice that Storm Collectibles is doing Hogan, but I'm more interested in guys who could really put on a show inside the ring: Bret Hart, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Big Van Vader, Tiger Mask, etc.

Blade Runner
Die Hard
Lethal Weapon
Jaws
The Matrix
Tombstone
Tom Cruise Collection (Huge Want) I'd love HT to do a range of his characters like they did for Johnny Depp years ago
Heat
Lost
The X-Files
Grand Theft Auto
The Last of Us

In the interest of cutting my cloth according to my own measure I massively reduced my sphere of interest so I don't have a big list.

However I'd be strongly tempted by good figures based on the Spartacus TV show of a few years ago.

Oh, having just seen Johnny's list - how could I forget - Die Hard and Lethal Weapon...and yeah probably Jaws.

I'll also post the following because it's a damn shame the companies that do have it are either making awful products or nothing at all:

Indiana Jones
Game of Thrones
The Walking Dead
DC Comics/Marvel Comics collection based exactly on artists looks not their own interpretation

1. Rambo

2. Drive (film)

3. James Bond series (Sean Connery for me)

4.The Matrix

5. Mad Max (Gibson)

6. **** Tracy film (Tracy and Flattop for me)

7. Beetlejuice (I want a real company to do it justice, not Sideshow)

8. Frankenstein Monster (original)

9. Guns n Roses (Axl Rose)

10. Man with No Name (Clint Eastwood) and characters from Dollar trilogy

When I originally picked Zorro, I had it as a collection of Pulp Fiction characters, from **** Tracy to the Phantom to Tarzan, Conan, and Zorro. I pared it down to just Zorro because of my pure love for the character, but I still would buy up any of the pulp characters.

I thought about Conan too, but the movie version because it's the one I'm most familiar with and I can see it working as a realistic 1/6 figure. Same with **** Tracy, because even though I like the comic and cartoons, I think the film version might work better as 1/6 figures...plus I love Flat Top from the film. I could totally see the comic version of those pulp characters looking good in the 7 inch scale if made by NECA or some other company.

It's criminal no one has made The Matrix yet. They would sell like hotcakes if done by the right company.
Hot Toys had the license. . .to do 1/12th scale vehicles or some such. Threezero was putting together a prototype of Trinity, but we've heard nothing beyond that over the last couple of years. I suspect likeness rights issues are rearing their ugly heads.

The Matrix
Independence Day
Fith Element (Man, the awesome figures this movie would generate)
Halo Series
Fallout Series

If we're talking about specific movies, I would like to see the Big Lebowski, even though I have the Rainman Lebowski figure already.

That is the great thing about this list AND this hobby -- a lot of those characters have been done by third parties and/or been offered as custom figures -- as well as bootlegs. It never ceases to amaze me the number of figures that fly under the radar as unlicensed figures.

Three zero just released fallout 4 t45 armor in 1/6 scale.

I would love to see original battle star galactica
Buck Rodgers in the 25th century
Babylon 5
