I was hoping the Blitzway Marilyn statue would win but it came in at a respectable second in some categories. That statue surprised me, I was not expecting it to become one the favorites in my collection.

Great reading through all the Best/Worst selections to revisit 2015.

While this hobby still has a lot gripes and imperfections (i.e. poor quality control, finished pieces not living up to the prototypes, rising prices, endless Iron Man pieces), I feel it has come a long in way in terms of not only the variety of product lines but also the quality - I can't help admire some of the artistry that went into the Marilyn or Hermione statue/figures for example. To a certain extent, we are in the midst of a golden age of this hobby.

I've been a collector all my life but only truly entered into the high end market relatively recently (in 2012 with the Hot Toys Reeves Superman). So I'm a relative noob in the hobby but I look back at all the previous efforts that paved the way until this point. Complaints aside, I am definitely appreciative of how far this hobby is come.*

* for the record, I do think we should hold these companies to a higher standard when they don't deliver on their promises

Agreed on all points. Remember, this set of choices are just mine and mine alone - I suspect Marilyn will do great on the other two, with her real competition coming from the quarter scale MK43.

I should have the People's Picks done by Thursday - I'm about half way there.

Thanks! Continue the great work.

I also liked the Medicom Hit Girl 1 you mentioned as one of your selections. For whatever reason, it was much better than Hit Girl 2 - probably due to her being pint size and the better facial expression.

I just voted. Looking forward to seeing the final results

Love that you voted NECA as best company of the past year, they were also my choice. They're keeping their attention on the 80s/90s classics and that's very much up my street.
