So. Since the statue I am transporting has no box, I am wondering whats the safest way possible to carry this thing:

Sideshow Arthas: https://www.sideshowtoy.com/collectibles/world-of-warcraft-arthas-sideshow-collectibles-300069/

Security and plane cabin carry is sorted. It will be on my lap in the plane ride fully assembled.

My thoughts are to bubble wrap the base so my hands arent directly on the piece and it will have some shock absorption for bumps. Anyone have experience or advice with this?

When I came back from Japan I took my figs apart and wrapped each piece up in clothing and packed them carfully in my carry on. No probs, and you shoulda seen Natsumi Maya wearing my shirt...

I do not envy your balancing act my friend, may the force be with u

I've had figures as carry-on baggage before, what I had were just bubble wrap, crumpled newspaper as the base and a paper bag, no overhead bins obviously. Have the figure sit on the floor near your legs and be mindful when entering and exiting your flight, as you don't want to bump the statue around. Easy as pie.
