I think I read something about canon short stories that's going to be released. But I didn't read that carefully.

Several comics are planned as well, and I guess those could count as continuation of the show.

Dammit, this show needs to be picked up by ScyFy. How perfect is this show for that channel? It would definitely be one of the best programming that they show on there now.

Well, there's the comic book for Shephard coming out later this year.

And then it was recently announced that Patton Oswalt is doing a comic book coming out next month that takes place after the movie--it involves friends of Wash remembering him and then christening a new ship. (may not include any other characters from Serenity).
