tonight is a perfect example. Two exciting threads squashed from existence.

I hate all forms of censorship. I believe it paints the world in an unrealistic fairy tale light...

No offense mod, but there was no reason to kill a thread that was still civil and on topic, mostly, generating lots of interest.

I have to agree with Tom. We were just giving the op what they wanted.

What's op? Anything like OPP? I don't know if I'm down with that. :lol

nah, Tom did the right thing..although it was a like a train-wreck I couldn't stop reading.

op - operative...undercover operative. that or a typo.

The original poster was not in fact a long time member, and that was confirmed before I took any action. Starting a witch hunt of all true long time members would be playing into their hands and it was appropriate to stop things ASAP.

OP = Original Poster (Thread Starter)

Hmmmm...OPP sounds more interesting....:lol which I think stood for other people's property or p'nises or the kitty word.... :lol

But to get back on track...I agree as well..that orginal post was only meant to stir up ^^^^.....like setting off a stink bomb and sitting back and waiting to see how everyone responds. I don't think this person got the response they were intending. It ended up being a pretty damn funny thread.

Please don't tell me you actually thought my who is thread was serious.:lol:lol:lol

No, but when a troll tries to start something you want to diminish the visible impact or they will be encouraged to keep trying. The more threads and posts they get in response, the more they feel that their time as a troll was worthwhile.

Dave wrote a Handbook On Trolling?:lol

For the record I don't care you deleted it, just some of your comments made me think you thought it was serious.

So if a OP wants a thread to be deleted, mederation follows?
That means even if the thread is not personal and contains interesting info about collecting pieces and nothing bad at all.

Crix..................

.... I love you.
