Charlie Wax-From Paris With Love

I've wanted a Charlie Wax figure since I saw the first commercial for the film. I love Travolta as a whack job and here he's a first class nut. Got the had off eBay and set about working on getting the oufit together. Didn't take any pictures before I put the jacket on but he has the long sleeved grey t shirt under the blue short sleeved t shirt and the necklaces as well. No logo on the blue shirt but I felt that since I was going to displpay him with the coat and shemagh it wasn't necessary. PTE pants and an Eddie Rickenbacher coat I got off eBay with a little work done and you can't see it in my crappy pictures but I dry brushed a little Soft Suede acrylic paint on the seams and collar edges and sleeve ends to give it a little wear. And my wife, who originally thought I didn't need to thinks it looks way better now that I did. I also darkened the eyebrows and goatee and added a BBI Scorpion earring. Let me know what you think.

Awesome work. I was planning on doing a charlie wax just yesterday, haha.

I also thought the same about the logo on the shirt. The difficult part to find is the jacket, and I can settle for a "close enough".

I think I have the same sculpt coming my way, is that the one from storerooms ?

Yes, it is the Storerooms head sculpt. It is awesome in person. It looks just like Travolta in the role. I was a little curious as to why they did such a specific Charlie Wax likeness and didn't sculpt an earring but it was easy enough to fix. Here is a link to another coat just like the one I bought. and that fur collar is a totally separate piece. One row of stitches inside the jacket-snip those and off it comes and there is the leather collar and it is almost identical to the one he wore in the movie. The only real difference I could see is that it is missing a small collar tab oin the right side and there is enough "leather" on the inside of the jacket that you could steal a piece and make one if you really wanted to. (which I may do eventually)
