I don't remember seeing this mentioned on the board so I thought I would post it.

Apparently not only is Medicom producing a 12" Superman figure but they are also producing a 12" Clark Kent. The head-sculpt looks pretty good!

This figure is supposed to be limited to 1000 pieces worldwide

Looks like it is going to run about $150.00.

I read somewhere that it's supposed to be a Japan only mail-in deal like the black Spidey unfortunately.

They are on ebay as pre-order and quickly running up in price and yes a mail-in order Japan exclusive, which means it may be impossible to find a dealer

Maybe Darklord Dave knows something

I'm REALLY afraid this Kent will be going for $300 by the time they're released.

I found a place selling this guy for $154 shipped.

He's cute and all but...

I mean Medicom's are short, right? And their heads are naked plastic with only the eyes, hair and lips painted, right?

He just seems like too much of a let down after Hot Toys Superman.

I think we should be alright for the Hot Toys Superman.

That is, I think I read that the Medicom figures based on movie likenesses are on short bodies while the figures base on comic books are on their tall bodies. Which goes in line with what Mookeylama is saying.

But that would leave Clark Kent noticably shorter than Hot Toys Superman which makes no sence at all -- unless shrinking is now a power that he has.

His clothes look way too baggy. Not digging the bland pale skin either.

All their figures are pale and 98% of the time they look nothing like the actors. But the excuse is that is Medicoms style, riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

The Spiderman is on scale with other 12" figures... he looks right in scale next to Sideshow and other companies... and is actually quite a bit taller than the Medicom Luke! So my guess is that Superman would be right at about 12" which might make him a bit short since in the movie they talk about Supes being 6'4" (or so).

that's good to hear. i see no reason why medicom could not make their superman returns figure as tall as this spiderman.

here's what i've heard others say about Medi height and it seems to be true. if the fig is based on a movie (even a comic based movie) then it gets the short body, like Medi's Luke and Batman begins. if it's based Directly off a comic it gets the tall bod like comic and Symbiote Spidey. so my guess is the Medi Supes will be short. plus i think i saw pic of a Med Supes next to Takara Bats and Supes was short.
