if people already were aware of this, man, I sure missed the announcements. Looks like a continuation of the Majestic line, but with nicer sculpts for the newer dolls.

I see all the original figures (sadly not updated) then Athena, Commander Cain, Col Tigh, Boomer, and Lucifer.

They are also doing the Day of the Dead 12". I was only aware of the smaller scale figs.

Amok Time is really kicking some ass... I won't be getting all of their releases, but a lot of them are very cool. Hopefully they can find a market and keep going.

Yeah, thats too bad there's no Dark Shadows... but you never know, seems like a perfect venture given their other releases.

The Athena sculpt does look good - but why don't they update the other sculpts? I'm wondering if they're releasing the playset of the bridge too. Talk about ambitious.

I think Boomer looks really good too, and you're right, why not update the horrible looking Starbuck and very mediocre Apollo, the shows main characters? Those are the two everyone would be sure to buy.

Athena and Boomer had been announced by Majestic previously, so maybe those sculpts had already been done? Majestic had also talked about plans for Cylons with light-up eyes at one point. Maybe we'll end up seeing those too?

I posted a bunch of Toy Fair photos last night:

As for Stabuck and Apollo, they WILL have new sculpts to better represent Starbuck and Apollo. they just weren't ready in time for ToyFair. The pix cannot do justice to them. Cain will have the Pegasus patch and his walking stick. Tigh and Boomer are great likenesses and Athena in person is like staring at a little Maren Jensen. :monkey5
Athena and Boomer are NEW sculpts. There is also a chance that Adama will be redone with a new headsculpt.
It doesn't look like some other faves from the series might be possible right now [Baltar, Sheba, Iblis] but one never knows.
And the Command Bridge that they made !! Whoa!! If I could have taken that home!!
I only saw 12" Night of the Living Dead on display, but I'm sure if they do well, Day could be coming.
The bridge is not on the table as a set as of yet. But if enough people talk to them expressing interest, it could possibly become a limited run item, although a bit pricey one. By the way, if you look at the pix I posted you'll see some shots of the bridge by Apollo, those screens are made to light up!!
More soon!!
Check back for updates if I can get 'em!!

Personally I'm glad they are doing new characters first, as it increases our chances of getting a more complete cast. The outfits on the Majestic figures were great, it was only the heads that I was somewhat disappointed in. I would rather see a three pack of just new heads for Adama/Starbuck/Apollo. No point in redoing the rest of the figure. Or they could pack new headsculpts for those three with some of the new figures. They could pack them Athena/Apollo head, Boomer/Starbuck head, and Tige/Adama head. I hope someone gets better pics of the new sculpts as all I can find is pictures taken from to high, so most of what you see is the tops of their heads.

Sorry about the pix being too high, the layout didn't really allow for getting up close and personal. I'll see if I can get any better ones to post.

Really cool stuff coming! And yeah, that Athena.... :monkey5
I never thought I'd ever see her as a figure.

Lovin' the Gort & Klaatu set too!

Thanks. They look good from what I can see, would just like to see a more straight on and profile.

That bridge set looks really nice. I don't know if I have enough love for BSG to buy that enviroment, but I will get all the figures for sure. I would kill to see a Original series Star Trek bridge in 1/6th, as well as a Batcave from the Adam West series. One can dream.

Awesome news! Thanks!
Looks like a bunch of these are up for pre-order right now on the Amok Time site for $49.99 each due between July/Sept. Here's some other news the site says:

"Also coming: improved versions of the Silver and Gold Cylon!"
Cool! Light up, maybe?

They also show a sneak peek of the translucent head of Lucifer--- with light up brain cavity and eyes! (I thought he looked goofy from the toyfair photos, now I see why. He lights up!)

I can't wait for the new Starbuck and Apollo head sculpt pics! Hopefully we'll see them soon!

That would be cool if they resculpted parts of the armor. Its not a terrible figure, but the chest armor is just really inaccurate and looks bad by comparison.

Awesome news for fans of the original series!

I, however, am STILL waiting impatiently for 1/6 figures of the new show. My lonely modern Cylon Centurion has started taking up residence in Jabba's palace for a lack of anything better to do. :monkey2 He needs some human frakkers to hunt. :maul

Agreed. I'd rather have the Sci Fi BSG figures that apparently were aborted by Majestic.

I'd contact Amok Time, tell them what you want. If they could pick up the Classic maybe they could do the same for the Sci Fi show.
