Coldhearted SOB (Custom Predator WIP) rough cut post #22

Last year I got all the parts together to create a custom predator and then just sat on it for far too long, and did nothing about it, but that's about to change. Over the last few days I've been doing some painting, chopping, gluing etc. and made a lot of progress. I thought I'd upload some 'teaser' pics of the torso and armor wip's. I profess to be neither a customiser or talented, so if you see it for a POS please be gentle.

I really thought I was being original, but the body is starting to look slightly like a P1 (it's actually a Lost Pred body)

Just an updated pic of the torso:

I'll wait until I've finished the whole body before I post anymore updates.

Thought I should mention why I called the thread Coldhearted SOB, it's the name (Coldheart) I was gonna give the Pred if he turns out passable. Not sure if it's been used before though? (On second thoughs maybe not, it's also the name of a Spidey villainess )

I think I'm happy to call this done, its a bit uneven but the lower legs and forearms will be covered by armor

And this just needs the quills, I think.

Thanks bud, I'm not the most motivated person in the world, so it may take longer than I originally anticipated.

I'm the same, depends if your enjoying it or not.

Updates look good, did you hand paint or airbrush the body, looks good whichever way.
I'd love to custom some preds but the parts are too pricey.

It's hand painted bud, one of the reasons it's taking some time, a lot of re-work has gone on!!

It's become a bit of a labor of love I have to say. It began life as me picking up extras for my Pred 2 then realising, if I restored my Pred 2 to box fresh I'd have the beginnings of a kit bash pred. Things spiralled out of control and here I am at this stage.

The parts on this are:

P2 BD Head
Lost body, hands, feet, body net, groin armor
P1 trophies, thigh armor
Guardian/Lost shin and knee armor
P2 wrist blade, chest armor
Scar wrist computer and leg scabbard
Wolf thigh armor (will be used as bicep armor)

Point of interest, these parts have come from the UK, the States, Germany, Holland, France, Poland, Australia, Hong Kong/China, Japan and South Africa!!!

I've been pretty lax on this of late, in fact I haven't done a thing!!

I've been practicing on this instead, in anticipation of repainting my Drake's head. It's my first ever attempt at repainting a head sculpt, and a dodgy one at that. It's a resin recast off ebay and is a bit flawed around the inner eyes. I think I feel confident enough to repaint my Drake at some point now though.

It's not finished yet, but I thought I'd share

I believe it is bud, I got it ages ago and (just like this predator) did nothing about it. There are some flaws inside the eyes that make it hard to get them right as it tends to draw the brush away but it's no biggie. The eye actually looks a lot less off in person than in that photo above, but I'll probably strip this back and take another shot at it at some later point.
