This just in from www.imdb.com :

Twentieth Century Fox on Wednesday suddenly pulled several highly touted films from next week's Comic-Con in San Diego, saying that "the material wasn't ready." The films included director Doug Liman's Jumper, starring Hayden Christensen; the sequel Aliens vs. Predator, directed by Colin and Greg Strause; Babylon A.D., starring Vin Diesel; and Hitman, starring Timothy Olyphant. The studio's action miffed organizers of the high-profile convention. David Glanzer, a spokesman for Comic-Con, told the Los Angeles Times: "Every major studio usually has a presence at Comic-Con so for Fox to pull out a week before is very unusual." One blogger observed on the Times' website: "Something smells a little fishy. I could see one film not being ready, but all?"

So they don't have a panel at all?

None of those films sound very impressive, especially compared to what Paramount and WB are bringing, so perhaps they're suffering a bit of presentation envy...

I think part of it wast that they were rated R and Comic-Con didn't want R-rated material shown which wouldn't allow them to show sneak-preview footage to people.

Really? There's lots of stuff shown (and many panelists as well) that are very rated R at Comic-con every year. Did they get some change in organizers or something this year?

That's a change from last year and some of what we saw in the 300 Trailer.

The R thing can't be it at all. Anyone see Tenacious D 2 years ago? Or maybe that changed the organizers attitude, as a number of parents dragged their kids out of the show after the first F-bomb.

I haven't seen an update from Comic-Con's official site. I would think they would be on that, they did announce Iron Man's swap quickly. I guess removing panel isn't exactly good publicity.

Comic Con isnt all that great about keeping the site updated. Take the action figure exclusives for Doctor Who, I dont think those are even there.

Well they're still listed on Friday's program (with an 'Updated' bubble) but no info on what they will be showing.

12:15-2:00 Twentieth Century Fox— Details for this event are still being finalized. Hall H

Silly FOX.
