Yes, yes they definately can, and a Hot Toys Optimus Prime is still my dream collectible. :rock I guess that 1/24 scale could work, or maybe even 1/18...That would leave Prime somewhere between 14 and 18 inches.

Why not 1/6 scale? They did Batmobile in 1/6 scale. Why not a Bumble Bee, Jazz,.................Starscream :)

They could. Hopefully the movie versions......:drool.

I'd love to see that, sure they won't transform but I don't care, I just want a solid, posable 12" sized Movie Optimus Prime. I was thinking recently, with what they did with Iron Man, they could do Transformers, but I don't know if the license is even available, Takara had/has a license for their masterpiece series.

I agree with the above.

as long as they looked as good if not better and able to transform like masterpiece transformers then it would be worth doing but the takara MP transformers have been perfect in most departments!? (im looking at my MP megs,prime,g1 starscream-i think it would be hard to better them!?

I would not buy a Transformer that did not 'transform' it just takes the coolness out of it.

Now however if Takara were to make Masterpiece version of movie Optimus Prime...! i would jump at that, I would pay up to 350-400 for movie accurate Prime

Hot Toys clearly ruled out Iron Monger as the size would make it prohibitive in 1/6 so what makes you think that they will take on Transformers which are even larger!

HT make figs that break too easily - can you imagine trying to not break a Transformer when trying to transform it????

If they're based on the movies, you kinda have to take the transform out of the equation. There is so much CGI magic involved in the transformations, you can't have a fully accurrate robot mode and transformability, it's just not possible, too many things shift and move.

Because Hot Toys made 1/6 scale Iron Man and to do the line justice, Iron Monger would have to also be in 1/6 scale.

A Hot Toys Transformers line would be sized like a 1/6 figure, but not true 1/6 scale so they'd be doable. As long as they keep scale in the line, so Optimus and Megatron would be the largest figures with the others falling in scale to that.

It's doable, if they want to do it and can even acquire the license.
