Here is my third work, i try recreate the iconic vampire hunter custom MAC11.
I used a short mag airsoft MAC11 to recreate the look and a resin kit. But the work was not easy, i need repair the resin kit all defect, curved lines, air bubbles. I have sanded around 1 week to get best result.
To get a better result i used a flower holding wires as lower line pattern, for this i need drilled 4 holes on both side.
Because the resin kit details was on variable level, i choosed replace all screw with a real pieces.
The barrel cover is the cutted end of a green marker
Finaly i put 1-2 level primer on the extension and a matt black finish.
The hardest work was drill a long hole for the barrel, trough this staticbig plastic piece because the material was hard. For this i need use a wall drill machine, because the barrel diameter and long was longer what the mini ,,dremel" clone can drill.
Second big work was creating space for the batteries, because i used a AEG what working with 4x AAA battery.
As extra and because i need use batterys as extra i created the front double red status led what was visible only short period in movie and only on HD versions. The real function of these leds was never cleared, maybe was a idea and part of a laser red dot. But we cant see any red dot or laser, so no idea.
The biggest challange was glue together the heavy extension with the mac 11 body.
