Hello all, its been along time since ive been here...had a few family issues so kepy me sidelined for along while. aswel as work i been out of the loop.

im still super keen on getting a set of 1/6 scale ghostbuster figures together, using materials and mattel parts so if any one can be awesome enough to help me out in linking me to any pages of anyone who has made up gb figures lately and also any resources where i can get some good items to make up these that would be great..

i.e- anyone who has a set of sculpted heads available - also painted if possible

-equipment like good quality boots, good quality belts, bodys and gloved hads etc which are suitable for bodys like hot toys.

thanks so much guys, hope you can help and point me in the right direction, its been along time but i still really want a good set of figures to display with more realistic heads as apose to the mattel figures.

thank you, and its good to be back!!:clap

I bought the 4 figures from Mattel to use the proton pack and uniforms... will use truetype bodies with Spenser's headsculpts and ACI black boots... just don't know yet which gloves will do the job.

I have my Peter Venkman for sale. It took me some time to put him together with what I think are the best parts out there. One of the best paint applications I've seen on this sculpt. It even comes with GB stand with EVILFACE decal and screen accurate elbow pads by ASTROZOMBIE (not in the first pictures though, but in the second and third). I will also throw in a ghost trap (not pictured). $250 shipped within the USA. Check out the pictures.

I used a Mattel figure as the base, ported it to a HT body, HT shirt, DID fabric belt and went with a head from ebay.

I'm in the process of finishing my set.

I followed a similar patter as most people and used the figures from Mattel as a base. I kept the accessories; uniforms (gave each one a tea bath), gloves and proton packs from them.

I used a knock off HT body; so was able to save a few bucks that way. Then I swapped out the boots for ones from newline and swapped out the plastic web belt with one from DiD. I bought the heads from Spenser and they're being painted as we speak.

Only thing after that that needs to be finished is the elbow pads. If no more are offered before I get the heads I'll just have to sort something out on my own.

Here they are with their stand-in heads :lol

To be honest, the stock gloves aren't too bad. And with a bit of force the pegs will fit in a HT body.

That head looks great Deckard! Can you post a link?

They are no longer for sale on ebay, but I have the artist's card with his contact info I will dig up for you. He painted it for me as well and it only cost about $60 total for the sculpt and paint work which was an incredible deal.

I wouldn't say one is better then the other, they both have some weaknesses and neither is perfect, but with no perfect Murrays out there either it's just preferance in the long run. I like mine because it captures that about to get slimed at the hotel look.

yes totaly Deckard. i like both versions of murray! and as you said it gived that look from the hotel scene, you should totaly give him a sliming! on his costume maybe? that would be cool

interested in Peter if he's still available in a week or two :)

$250 is a very fair price for that... you'd be hard pressed to make the same (or similar figure) for less.

I didn't have to take a running start at it or anything :lol

I'd suggest heating up the peg a bit and then applying even and steady force until it goes into place. Nothing was broken in the process when I did it... and worst case scenario I imagine quite a few of us have extra gloves we could send your way if it did go wrong; I've got two pair from the Mattel figures I won't be using.
