As noted in my sig, I’m slowly but surely making a party of six from the Baldur’s Gate game (BG1).
This is the work-in-progress for Imoen, but it’s nearing completion and I figured I’d share what‘s completed so far.
The body and gear… or at least the first iteration of it… are nearly finished. The body is a TBLeague Phicen S29B. The studded leather torso armor was made by Gustavo Ponce Bautista, and it’s gorgeous. It represents the “Shadow Armor” +3 available at the Thunderhammer Smithy in Beregost. Everything else I found on eBay. I customized a pair of generic medieval leather boots to represent the “Worn Whispers” aka Boots of Stealth. Her dagger represents the “Dagger of Venom” also available from Taerom Thunderhammer. The short bow I imagine as a +1 or +2.
The head sculpt for Imoen, commissioned by Just OneSixth Scale, is currently en route to the painter, Mark Simpson. For now as a placeholder I’m using a third party Wonder Woman sculpt.
I may have overdone it with dirt and dust weathering effects. But it definitely makes the figure look more realistic than if everything looked pristine. And interestingly the dirt makes the details of the armor and clothes pop more. It feels a bit counterintuitive to say, but I think it makes the figure more vibrant somehow.
There’s some further gear on the way. I found a 1/12 scale shield on eBay that should work well as a buckler, which is supposed to arrive next weekend. And Just OneSixth Scale also designed, printed, and painted Wand of Magic Missiles. And that should be shipping fairly soon.
