Hey mates! My first ever repaint, although I must admit this is my second try so far, didn't like the first outcome, but think I've hit the nail on the head so far! (and damn took me a long time to get the nerve to repaint a 150 dollar figure)
Actually, this was as a response for me not liking my bank robber anymore after the *******s at Hot Toys decided to upgrade it again -.-
So I said: I can do bettah! .. I hope! Eyes and hair are the only things left.. eyes are the hardest.. :(

Any comment is appreciated!

CHEERS!

Thanks Todd!

I'm glad it worked out so nice, the previous one was pretty nice too, a little less good, bit thick on the paint, that's why I started over, heck I'll post some pictures of that! but I think you'll love the outcome when it's finished, planning on giving him some accurate greenish hair color! :D
Eyes turned out pretty good on the first one, but the expression was a bit bland..
But damn I'm afraid of ruining the eyes on this one.. :(

See? A tad too thick paint! :)

those eyes look awesome, but as you said, a bit bland/emotionless, but with great detail.
i don't think that the looks even slightly thick...it just looks great!:)

this looks so cool. obviously the eyes were not finished, but this, without the eyes, and only white looks awesome. it's like a demonic joker, like Dark Knight meets The Exorcist.:horror it really looks cool this way, and quite creepy:D

I really like the black make up you have going on around the eyes. That's how I remember it from the movie

thanks so much villainsfan!
Yeah, I also like that look, but it's not something I would like it to be permanent ;)

But seriously, this one is going to look great, gonna go on with it tomorrow!
Sleepy, don't want to ruin it just because I'm getting tired!

Thanks for the comments! Really appreciated!:peace
And if anyone of you has some ideas/suggestions, pass them on plz! :chew

gnite!

Looks great. You could use a little more black around the eyes, but just a little. Most people tend to put too much black so the fact you could use a little more is a good thing. But very impressive overall. I wish I could paint that well.

buttmunch: youre right, on the right ete his eyebrows aren't black ! thanks for pointing this out, its harder to see in the real one, it's like a 2 mm difference !:google

That's a sweet repaint! The mouth could maybe use a darker red inking where the lips meet and in the crease of the scar, but that could just be my reaction to the photos -- photography always misrepresents these guys to some point. The other thing I might touch on is the eyes. There are so many ways to do eyes that it's a matter of taste but personally I like floating irises and you've almost got them. I might curb the dark line above the lower eye lids to give the irises a small frame of white to make them pop. That said, they look pretty good now and give them a coat of gloss later to make them lifelike and you're solid.

mouth looks great this way ,already tried darkening that up didn't work well :] I'm not sure on how to pose the eyes yet though.. wqa thinking about having him look straight up as when hes holding his machine gun.. any suggestions? and yea ill gloss the eyes and the hair as well :] suggestions for eye poses please :D :chew

D'oh! I was confused on which was the more recent set of photos. Right, for the eyes I'll throw out... just left of center and looking up. If they're too dramatically off center he'll only look good posed in certain head positions.
