I have been working on a modified 1/6th scale Biker Scout the past week or so.

I took the Speeder Bike version from Hasbro. I switched the body with a Dragon toys body. I used an extra set of gloves/hands from the Commander Praji figure from SSC to replace the "toy like" Hasbro gloves. I cut the pouches from the belt and moved them up higher on the chest where they are supposed to be. I also glued the flaps down to the top of the pouches and filled them with cotton so that they would appear full.

I used the Koto Biker Scout as a reference on where things were supposed to go. I never realized how much of a difference there was between Hasbro's version and the movie version.

The next step is to do some weathering and dremmel out the helmet so I can place a Hot Toys head inside it. I want the figure to have a removable helmet.

Here are some pics of it so far..

I think he has turned out well so far. Has anyone else attempted to modify this figure?? I searched the forums but could not find any pictures or anything.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Oh yes!!! I did the same thing, except I used a Dragon "Neo" Adam body. I also put some black BDU pants on him to bulk out his thighs and to more closely replicate the equipment seen in the film...It's not exact, but close enough. I will post some pics soon. Your Biker Scout looks AWESOME!!!!

We better see Sideshow making this available this year.

AMEN
I hope so too. Even if SS doesn’t make a speeder, Hasbro’s isn’t bad with some modifications. The speeder that is. All I want is the Biker Scout. Nice job on your Biker by the way.

The gloves look a little weird to me, I've seen one or two customs of the scout that turned out really good. I was actually thinking of dying Jango's or Boba suit black & putting in on mine

I've done much the same as you, using a DML body as a base.
I've butchered the helmet enough, with a craft knife, to get it onto the head that came attached to the body though. I also used a pair of black gloved DML hands as I didn't have Praji when I started the job.

I still have the chunky ankle holster on mine though, I like the H blaster and don't think I'm talented enough to scratch build an alternative holster.

I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Arnax, I like the idea of using BDU trousers to bulk out the lages a bit, may have to give that a go :)

As for the bike, all that needs to be done is exteb=nd the outriggers, have just started to look at sorting this, will update you all if I get any further...

Cheers,
Doug

The Praji gloves were all that I had at the moment. I am currently looking at ebay and other sources for a pair of black gloves. I think the Praji gloves work for now.

I am also working on the ankle holster.

Thanks for the comments guys. I look forward to seeing some pictures of others Biker bashes.

I have the scout that comes with the Speederbike and on this one the puches are on the right position over the belt. But I don't like the shoulder armor pads on this Hasbro version. When Sideshow will make a Scout it will replace the Hasbro one on the Speederbike.

Yeah, an important note. There are 2 different Biker Scouts from Hasbro. One that came with the speeder and one that different. They both differ in many ways.

Hi Chakaman, love the Biker scout. I really would like to get one, shame they are so expensive.
Great job though.

Thanks guys. Like I said, he isnt quite finished. It is a work in progress.

The Speeder Bike version in my opinion is superior to the blue Saga boxed version released by Hasbro.

I really like the looks of this so far. I think you guys are right, hollowing out the head is going to be a major chore.

Have you got a spare head for him. If so send it to me and I'll have a bash at hollowing it out if you want.

I did nearly the same thing with this figure some time ago.

I never really had a problem with the holster, so I kept it on. Scout Trooper gloves have unique detail though, so the Praji ones weren't really a passable substitute for me. I decided to make my own instead. I thought about using the Tomy mini-helmet but it seems a bit too small.
