Well, here we are.

So what customs are people planning, if any?

I've seen some DIETRICH's, even a JOCK. There's the Hasbro CAIRO SWORDSMAN to make better.

Anyone planning a MARION or SALLAH? Maybe a MONKEY MAN (that would rock). I'd love to see someone do a good GERMAN MECHANIC. I made one years ago and it sucks.

Anyway, I'd love to hear and share custom ideas here because I'd like to keep this "line" alive and add some more Indy figures to my own shelf as well.

I've already got a custom Henry. The one I'm missing is Marion, but she'll be difficult to do justice.

I'd like them and would buy them, but I'm ok with not having Mola, Short Round or tux/ToD Indy. Wishful fanboy thinking aside, the Indy line never was going to be deep like Star Wars. Hopefully the writing on the wall isn't that clear and SS will still come through and German Indy won't be the last gasp.

It's got the right attitude but a custom Karen Allen sculpt is required.

Not ideal by any stretch, I know. A custom sculpt would be great. But this is just a way to go for those who don't want to gather 15 people to "commission" a headsculpt.

Anyway, if anyone wants to share other ideas on bashing this or other figures...

Making some Raiders Germans is easy.

German Mechanic clothes is easy... just need a sculpt, and his belly.

Making headwrapped sword-wielding Arabs is fairly easy too, if anyone knows of a good full-length tunic...

Monkey Man could be made from a generic goateed sculpt, eyepatch and headwrap. A custom striped robe would have to be made... but I know someone who could help with that.

Short Round: bust for the head, short DML "boy" body or Hobbit body. Not sure where to get that jacket or hat.

Sov Shawn has a Mola Ram available of course.

Here's some familiar faces... let's make them...

Cool to see 'em line up like that, right?

Should be my new sig.

I'd like to get someone like Chris or Spenser or one of the other really talented sculpters here to do a bar scene Marion sculpt. Other than that I'm probably going to bash a TOD tux Indy. It's easy enough and is one of my favorite scenes from the movies.

I've seen a custom Monkey man over at fantasynet ezboard. Looked really cool.

That Monkey Man is a really cool custom! Just goes to show the REAL potential of this line.

I had/have a Club Obi-Wan Indy planned. It's based on a Giles' pants and vest with Scaramnaga's jacket, which is actually more screen accurate than legacy Bond cause of the pockets. The vest isn't great but I think it'll work. There's actually not a lot of work left to it other than repainting the head, sans stubble, and doing the carnation. But Joes are taking presidence these days. Still really looking forward to it's inevitable completion, Spielberg's Bond nod is too cool to pass up and it's one of the best openings to film ever, imo.
"Am I going deaf, or are you developing a sense of humor?" :D

Here's a 1/6 Julian Glover I sculpted as General Veers - with a touch more grey it could work as Walter Donovan

I'd love to see any pics of this Club Obi-Wan Indy-- even if it's in the early rough stage.

Here's my Tux Indy.
I would like to get a better waist coat down the line.
Also I'm getting a 7" Hasbro Monkey man as it comes with Nurhachi's Urn.
The size of Hasbro's Urn is just right. The Medicom one looks good but is too big

Can you post a link or a pic? I need to see that.

EDIT:

Nevermind, just found it. That's a GREAT figure! I want one!

This was made by Fred Jeska:

Fred's also made a pretty kewel Sallah as well. Fred's never ceased to amaze me with his creativity. If ever you get a chance to see his Fantasy Pub- lighted "torches", fireplace, sound and lightning flash outside his "leaded glass
window, it's just amazing.

Okay, and now back to Indy! :gun:whip

Now this is the figure we should be being offered by SS right now.

Great job man.

I seem to be the only one who would love to see a Willie Scott in that Red and Gold dress from Shanghai, I think it'd display really well with this kind of Indy.
