Hey guys,

I also posted this in the custom DC section. I wasn't sure if there was a rule about posting the same topic in two different parts of the forum. If so, sorry, and the mods obviously can choose which one of the threads to delete. But anyway, I hope Adam doesn't mind this (if you do Adam, just let me know, and I'll take it down), but I wanted to share this with you all. I commissioned this piece from him, and should be receiving it soon. It's based on this picture:

And here's the sculpt:

I absolutely love it. Adam's just one of the most incredible artists around.

Hey, thanks you guys! I'm super excited to get it and set it all up. Once I do, I'll take some nice, clear shots of the thing so you can see it better. I'm amazed by the detail and likeness. And it's not even a good picture really.

I think its a cool idea because the image that fake poster is based on is of Conrad Veidt from the film 'The Man Who Laughs'.. and his character in the film was an original inspiration for the joker character

Yeah, exactly. That, and I just think it's an awesome image of the Joker. He looks frightening in it, but also somehow sophisticated. And I thought it'd be cool and unique to have it translated to 3D form.

That sculpt is very impressive, I think adding the strands of hair dangling on the forehead would really set it off though. Congrats! :hi5:

I actually like it as it is - see the video I posted - it looks exactly like Veidt did on film. But as long as the owner is happy that's what counts :)

That is awesome... are these available if anyone would like to make an actual figure of Gwynplaine?

I'd love to add one to my horror collection :duff

It's awesome! You should go for the classic Golden Age Jerry Robinson Joker, since that's where the Veidt look was most prominent.:rock
