Greetings:
I finally finished my WWII 101st Airborne Lt. Col. Locke in Bastogne.
If you recall, this figure was originally a Lt. I took everyone's advice and promoted him to Lt. Col.
I also changed his gloves, added a sweater (underneath the coat not shown), gave him a grease gun and a pipe. I also added the 101st Airborne insignia to his coat.
As for weathering, I dirtied him up a bit more. I didn't want to make him too dirty figuring that he as an officer and wouldn't be as dirty as the soldiers on the frontline.
This was my first attempt at adding the snow effect. I think it came out pretty good. Again, I didn't want to overboard on the snow effect for the same reason I didn't want to make him too dirty.
The snow effect was very easy. My only qualm is that it's not permanent. So with too much/agressive handling, the snow will slowly come off.
