I bought it ages ago but I'm now looking at selling it and just wanted to get some background info on it first.

All I could find was that it was created by Paul Francis and is know as "The Porsche Helmet" due to it's quality.

Many thanks,

If you want more info on this, let me know. I am a friend and reseller for Paul's stuff so I'm pretty familiar with it... not sure if you want me posting what he seels them for in case it affects your price :)

Send the price info to PsychoCenobite pls. The poor guy is trying to buy a flat in london, and trust me london is ridiculous price wise. You can buy a 4 bedroom house anywhere else in the UK for the price of buying just a garage there lol.

Hi,

If you can PM me that would be great! :peace

I can't remember who/where I bought this from originally... I might have delt directly with Paul but I can't remember and I can't find any emails.

Many thanks and thanks to Crimsonbob for helpping me out!

PS. My bio has LEDs and not lasers.

Any joy with that info m8?

Yep. Got a some details and found a website.

This is the copy I'll probably use on the eBay auction:

Up for auction is this 1:1 Predator Bio Helmet with LEDs by Paul Francis "The Porsche Helmet" – It has also been signed by Paul Francis

Up for auction is a superb Predator Bio Helmet From the original film. It was made and finished by Paul Francis (www.lucasfrancisstudio.com) and is know as “The Porsche Helmet” due to it's quality. It is 1:1 full size with a fantastic P1 paint job and would be great for a costume or for display.

I now also know the original selling price for this Bio. I still think I'll stick it on eBay at £0.99 and hope it goes up to the higher price.

I'll post the links here once I get around to doing so.

Id stick a reserve on that puppy for sure if your gonna start at 99p. Im sure some peeps on ebay will know who Paul is, but the majority wont.

You also might want to offer it out on the boards 1st, im sure you know what you'd like for it compared to what you actually paid, and im sure you'd get some decent haggling and offers.

Worth a try anyway :D

I got him down and took some new pictures:

Sadly though I couldn't get the LEDs to work! :monkey2 I tried the two different ways to power them - 2 x AAA and 1 block battery - and no luck with either.

Also, There are two tiny marks on the paint job - one looks a bit like a scuff and the other is a small chip. Both could easily be touched up and because there is some much going on in the paint job, these could almost be over looked as part of the original paint job.

Touch it up a bit then m8, as long as u match the colour nps.

Also did u check the LED's haven't come loose and are touching? U might have to reinsulate them, or a connection may have come loose, in which case get that soldering kit out :D

I'm a bit worried about doing paint touch ups myself. I prefer to leave it to the experts.

I've sorted out the LEDs! :banana

It was just be being a bit thick! It wasn't two power options. You need to use 2 x AAA batteries as well as a block battery!

All working now:
