Custom Vader

Hi. I did this a while back after failing to contact Hurricane on a custom vader. Not 100% accurate but the best i can manage for now. Would love to get hurricane to do touch ups but i understand that asking for anything when i have 0 posts makes me look dodgy. So here goes.

I think its great, how did you do it ? what parts did you use ? whats kitbash and whats scratch built ?

Im guessing theres some UV Vader in there ?

Hi. The breakdown of parts are as follows:

helmet piece from Tomy and dremeled down to fit the head and repainted.

The Dome, shin guards are from the screaming vader vinyl set.

The chest guard, belt, sleeves and outer cloak are from medicom ROTJ darth vader

Hands are a mix of vinyl kit and darth maul gloves.

Base body is a 13 inch footballer body

Head, saber and pants from hasbro ultimate vader set.

I had to think quite a while before deciding to post this. I feel like a heretic posting a vader on a forum where Hurricane is active on.

Thanks for the encouragement. I think the footballer is a DID figure. Not sure cos i bought it off ebay.

Don't sell yourself short my friend. We enjoy everyones customs. Some are better than others but who cares. This one however is a top notch custom and certainly should be posted!

Yeah man, you did great work here!! As Badmoon said, don't sell yourself short. I've been customizing for years and have never tackled Vader. It's a tough custom to do, no matter what route you take. So to give it a shot and have it come out that nice, is an achievement in and of itself.

Hi Hurricane. I'm actually keen on getting a light up lightsaber(s) for mine SW figures. And again i have to say a big thank you to you. Seeing your vader and reading your posts really helped me with my project.
