Hey all you customizers out there...I'm wondering if there is any good info somewhere that I can read and learn how to make my own headsculpts for 12" figures and how to add to them to modify them? Also, I need to learn what type of paints are the best to use and if I need to apply anything after painting to help keep the paint from pealing, etc. Also, how to paint and weather the clothes, etc...I know that is alot of stuff...I've never done anything like this before. I have a couple of buck bodies on the way from sideshow and have just gotten into the dead line, so most of what I'm going to try for now will be creating a few zombies of my own...Any help with info or links to info would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!! :D

Edit: For know I will most likely just be modifying an already existing head sculpt as I'm guessing that will be easier...

zombies are a great place to start customizing. pick up some of ssc's christmas ornaments if you haven't already. they have a great sculpt and hand on them (i still wish that thing came with two hands..).
and lets face it......zombies come from all walks of life.....err..... death so whatever you dream up is okay. i was thinking a zombie priest would be cool........:monkey3

If you want to make a head, use polymer clay (sculpey, fimo...). For mods, I'd use epoxy clay like milliput, but using it isn't as easy as polymer clay. However, you can also use polymer clay and harden it with a hairdryer for small mods. It works pretty well but won't be as resistant as epoxy!
