I'm not an artist by any means, which is quite evident after seeing a lot of customs from just browsing these forums...but I decided for the hell of it, to compliment my Silent Hill figures, I would create a non-scale Silent Hill sign. I am quite pleased with the results, even if it's not the best out there.

Some lengthy boring information about the process: Started with an idea of just making the sign and attaching to a base. Then I got the idea of using dollhouse items to make the scene look more realistic. Dollhouse items are expensive! The two bottles and the first aid were $11 shipped. I had my decal guy make me the health drink labels for $3.The map was made from simple paper with the image printed using a laser jet printed. I soaked it in tea and burned the edges to give it an oldish look. I wanted to add a flashlight and a portable radio but I couldn't find anything remotely similar to how they looked in the SH universe. I eventually decided to also add a knife but couldn't be assed to pay another $3 for this tiny miniature so I made my own out of clay and a spare tin cup lid. Looks decent. Eventually went out, bought a grass roll, borrowed some grass bushes from my father (works on model trains...like father like son...I guess). Also had my decal guy make me a template for the font using low tack vinyl, which worked perfectly.

The total cost of supplies was excessive, somewhere over $65. I wasted $25ish on supplies I didn't end up using. I was originally going to wire in flickering LED lampposts but in the end I realized it would look really out of place. Otherwise, I spent countless hours trying to make it perfect in my own eyes.

Whatcha guys think for a noob's first project :)?

Looks great! I would like to have one. Will you make more to sell?! If so, how much?

Thanks guys!

Haha, I appreciate the compliment, but I don't think I'd make any more to sell! Took too much time and it can't be that good to sell :p

Top work, looks great. I wish I had the skills to do things like that.

It really wasn't that hard! I will admit I often got frustrated but it was my first major project after all!

Konami posted it on the Silent Hill page on FB after I sent it to them! It's got over 17,000 likes now! :) Made my day yesterday lol.
