OI! So after seeing the work of Les, and DA, and everonye else in their own Threads , I decided Irt was tome to statr one of my own. I've been repainting hasbro figures for years, Painted buttlads of 28mm models, but only recently have I started to work in 1/6th. My figures are for me, so sometimes I'll say "that's enough" and stop on them Problem is, I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I keep ripping my work apart and redoing it. Anywho, This thread is a place for me to share my work, and for you guys to rip it apratr and tell me how awful it is :)

So without further Adue, On with the show.

First up, a smiple chop and redress. Allways been an evil dead fan, but I wanted to get ash in shis ripped modern clothing. So a new shirt, and soome scissors, and Violla, Ash :)

another recent job, one that is not quite finished yet, is my Aurra Sing figure. i still need to get her a lightsabre, add a chain, and either paint her plastic holsers or make her a Leather set. I'll probobly make her a leather set.

So, here are the parts of the disassembled hasbro figure

I had some trouble repainting the Grey female body white, Si I painteds it's foramrs white, and swapped the heand and hands with my Asajj Figure.

A few days later, the head is really comming allong

I was not completely satisfied with the right hand from the hasbro figure, so I cut the thumb from one of the hands, repositioned it and pouttied a new joint

Aurra Siing continued

she's about 90% done now, I've added the hair plug, and finished the eyes. I need to touch up her face, it got smudged a bit when I added the hair plug.

Here's some poses in the front yard, I'll post more as I do the repair work, Detail her guns, and add the antena.

That's it for now, So, comments, please?

I did indeed. I had originaly planned on using the Art buck grey female, But the shoulders kept loosing their paint every time I poised her. The body is asajj, but the head is the Art Buck Female. Slightly different headsculpt.
Atleast, I think it is.

If I might make a suggestion.

From the pics provided your iris placement is giving her the suprised bug eye as seen below.

If you moved the iris up to more in the lid (think semi circle) as seen below.

You results, imo would be more natural.

Other than that good job!!

:D

I came to that conclusion myself. Yeah, She looks like she just saw the goatse man or something, oh well, back to the lab!

Not bad buddy! Just do that eye trick and lessen her scared look, and you have it! Nice figures and cool Ash! :D

Small update, Pics comming when i get off work: Finished fixing aurra sings head and eyes, allmost done with her pistols. nmeed to get some leather and buckles to make her gun belts.
A'sharad hett's skintone is good, working on his facial tattoos.
Workong on a general kenobi in clone armor. just got a koto kit recast, and it's a bit small for the sideshow body, so i'm boiling the resin and streaching it. seems to be working so far. little worried about how the torso armor is going to match up. I'l check into it later. If it fails badly, can anyone recomend a good body to transfer the sideshow obiwans head to?

Finished my Master skywalker, untill I manage to work up the nerve to put some paint on his head. Afraid I'll ruin it.
Finished repainting my hot toys ripley's head.

Pics forthcomming

and Les, thanks for the praise :)

Some great work here Lerath! Ballsy too! :rock:rock:rock

The eyes are the only thing holding this back, just keep studying eyes and keep trying. It's not easy and takes a while to truly get the hang of, but you are already improving there so... It shouldn't be hard. :rock

Keep up the great work man, I look forward to more daredevil artistry from you! :lol

And here we go, Up first, a simple repaint of the hot toys riply. i soaked her head in rubbing alcohol to lighten the base colors and did some work on the hair and eyebrow, also gloss-coated the eyes and lips, nothing major

The redone Aurra Sing, Now i just need to buy some leather and make her belts. It will be good prctice for when i make the boba fett betls for my medi fett.

I'm debating sanding down the head and redoing the white paint to try to get a smoother texture.... but right now i think it adds to it.

Less of a custom and more of a bash, I put an obi-wan's tunic on my Jedi master Luke skywalker. i think the colors work well together.

It's a triad toys enforcer head, Got a ways to go still on the tats.. ugh, squigly bits

And here is my General Kenobi, I'm boiling and test-fitting his resin armor at the moment, here is how he looks

Picture005.jpg

still need to buy some tiny magnets for his cloak, put some metal in the chestplate for the magnetes, and buy the cloth for his robe and cloak. Not to mention the sanding, washing and painting of the armor

And just for fun, my grey art buck female, my leftover asajj Head and hands, and the anakin costume from the ultimate vader I bought to send the vader suit to hurricane. A jedi asajj

Soo... comments?

WICKED COOL PAINTS AND CUSTOMS ON ALL FRONTS! :rock

You might paint Rip's eyes dark brown though. She gots dark eyes! Trust me!

Otherwise all your stuff rocks bro!

Where did that one cool boot on your Custom Asaaj come from? The one with all the straps? Looks wicked! (I like the rest of the figure too!)

Keep on postin' dude! :monkey5

Beleive it or not those are actualy her regular boots :)

Yeah, I know i need to get some work don on her eyes, but I'm hol;ding off untill i'm a bit more confidant about painting eyes.

Really nice stuff there mate :)

I especially like the WIP General Kenobi. Looks good so far.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers

Just some updates on A'Sharad Hett. His face is done, as is his ponytail. Overall he's about 80%. He just needs his vest, and his sabers now

As More get finished, more will be posted. Comments?

Nice work Lerath! I really like that Hett figure. You found a pretty good head sculpt to match. Nice paint apps on the face as well. Cant wait to see this guy finished along with that Obi Wan clone armor. Great stuff man!

It's a triad toys enforcer headsculpt for the recorsd :) Hurricane is making me a masked tuskin raider head to go with him too. Can't wait to see it :)

General Kenobi Is getting there. His legs and feet are done, I'll be doing his codpiece/buttplate next. he's in the background of my luke bespin pics if you want a preiview :)

There are tiny imperfetions all over the surface of the amor that idid not notice till I painted it. I debated going back and filling them in with putty, but I decided to leave it be. give the armor a worn-in look that I like. I'll possibly go back and add black to make them ino more realistic weathering.
DSC00409.jpg

I'm also toying around with an idea fur making anakins gloved arm better, and doing a Pre-ROTS clone wars Ani. trying to figure out which parts of hos armor are armor, and which parts are cloth.

Nice work on the General Kenobi! Great minds think alike, as I'm working on one myself. Got the robe/cloak done the other night. It's far from "accurate" according to the cartoon/statue, but I think it's kinda cool.
Can't wait to see how your fig goes! Looks better than mine already!!!
