Sideshow is doing variations of their 1:1 sclae busts like Venon, Terminator, Thing, Grievous and so on so I believe that Darth Sidious will soon be coming to a shelf near you. We already have 1/6 scale figure and life size bust, now we need a Premium Format.

Come Sideshow, we know you want to make one..... make your Star Wars fans happy once again..... :banana

Re: Dart Sidious next?

Yea I want too see Sidious made and the Ex with an Interchangeable head to make him Palpatine :D

I added an "H".:monkey3

I didn't want people to be mislead that you were posting about the Poison Dart Frog... Cause they're sidious as well.:naughty

I'd rather get a ROTJ Emperor :emperor (1/6, 1/4 or both)

While I can be nerdy and say ROTJ Emperor is still Darth Sidious by PT precedent, hehe, for this sake I will agree that a deformed Palpatine/Sidious should only be done from Jedi, not the PT.

PF sideous is the only other character i feel I really need in this format. I think asajj ventress was a total waste of a PF. theres no way id ever spend 300 bucks on a statue of a character who wasnt even in the movies, no matter how good it looks, and, i don't even think it looks good.

Yea Asajj Ventress didn't appeal too me
And I can't see myself paying money for a collectible in which I can't even pronounce that characters first name :lol

Seeing as how it was the same actor and the SFX crew copied the make-up applications from ROTJ for ROTS, wouldn't it qualify as the same Emperor?

Not necessarily for multiple reasons. The first being that likely, a ROTJ based PF should represent how he was in that film, and he was more physical in ROTS, not so much just a creepy, powerful presence. As for the makeup and such, the SFX crew did match the design of the deformed look, but McDiarmid's base facial structure changed. Truly representing how he looked in ROTS, his face is fuller then Jedi, and the 1983 makeup wasn't as good as prosthetics today, so there are subtle differences, ROTS Palpatine doesn't look exactly the same as Jedi. For most folks, it's unnoticeable, but as a fan of the character, I pick up on the subtleties.

Something tells me the next one will be a prequel figure that will look pretty cool next to one of the OT PFs...

I hope you're referring to a ROTS Obi-Wan
