this thread is more about 1/6 figs.

marvel's got thor, iron man, capt america, hulk and others. which of course means more HT figs.

DC on the other hand...we only got bats, supes (of course we're still waiting for the reboot), GL, and i guess flash?

anyway, looking at my collection, it's gonna be overrun with marvel characters....

DC and Warner, step it up guys!!!

Marvel is kicking their rear here of late....Stan Lee is the man. It's amazing he created so many characters for Marvel.

Something people dont really know is that Stan Lee's son in law ran Marvel at the time and Jack Kirby created more then he is credited for. Not to take anything away from Stand, he is godly, just not as much as we give him credit for.

If you are talking movies made from comics, DC has released better films over Marvel.

It is hard to believe Iron Man 2 made more then Batman Begins, IM2 was pure garbage.

Marvel felt the need to reboot Hulk and still it came up lacking IMO.

my main gripe is that marvel, despite it's business practices, are at least creating a movie universe, with each franchise connected to one another, leading up to one massive movie. DC on the other hand, sure we have bats, supes, watchmen...but...what else?

with GL on the horizon, we don't even know if the movie is gonna be any good. i like ryan reynolds, but even he alone couldn't save blade 3.

as we all know nolan considers his batman movies a seperate entity where the DC 'universe' is concerned. but my own personal issue is this...

my set up of 1/6 figs will eventually be filled with marvel characters. i just want DC to amp up their comic to movie franchises. hurry the hell up with flash dammit! and PLEASE make sure the GL is a good movie! i at least want to create a 'justice league' with these figs. even though the movie will probably (and fortunately) never be made, i just want to have these cool figs standing next to one another.

^^^..eeh..I prefer it if Superman stay far far away from the Nolan Batman films.

Marvel has almost always had a better lineup of characters. Batman is great and Superman is ok too....but that's about it.

i don't know...if it done right, with the right story and director, i DO think a 'world's finest' movie can be done...but then again, that can be said for ANY movie.

i guess marvel has a better line up. if anything, they probably appeal more to the casual fans. as for DC, i don't know...i think their characters just has a coolness about them. i mean, i'm looking forward to the possibilities of GL...and thinking about a flash movie has me looking forward to that as well...

ah...i'm a little sleepy, i don't what to think...basically, i just want more DC 1/6 characters.

I hear ya, I'd like some more High end 1/6th DC figures. Especially for Ht to at least release Rorschach.

Hopefully GL does well.

Sad thing is there aren't a lot of must have DC characters for me. I like a lot of them, but past the TDK and Watchmen Figs I just need a good Reeve Superman and maybe Green Lantern, although I'm skeptical about the upcoming movie being figure worthy.

I'm getting close to my need list being full for Marvel as well though... still hope we get a Hulk and Captain American; but Thor and Ghost Rider will likely be passes.
