I hope all the Americans and Canadians had a great holiday last week! I took Sunday night off, but I'm back tonight with a bang - I'm looking at DiD's T. Becker, SD Plain Clothes figure. Lots of readers told me I should be paying more attention to the, and I have to say they were definitely right.

I agree, Kamui Gaiden is one of HT's best figures.

Both look like excellent figures. That being said, it's a shame that they'll get little attention and get lost in the shroud of T2 and Iron Man 2 figures.

i bought kamui in the recent ami ami sale - it really is amazing in hand. looks cool, and the outfit and accessories are stellar. i just hope the movie doesn't suck when i eventually get to see it in a month or so.

Great reviews. The Becker review seriously made me consider getting him. I Might look into that later on down the line.

Becker is going to go great with Toht and Aldo on the shelf. He has a bit of a Bogart thing going on too.

heh I think that's why I like him, I just picture him posed with his umbrella next to my Predator he'd be delightfully out of place.

I have been tempted by that Kamui Gaiden guy, but so far my collection has only focused on licenses I am familiar with and a fan of. If I start making exceptions for "cool looking toys". . .my wallet just couldn't handle the stress, I'm afraid.

the figure was ￥5900 and the total with shipping was ￥9165 so EMS shipping to UK came to ￥3265. but then i got hit with an effing ridiculous parcelforce fee of £27, half of that being their charge to handle the customs charge but all in all i'm glad i got him. he's still in the box though. if the movie sucks he's outta here. i'm like kara - only want figs from licenses i love.

I got mine slightly cheaper due to their shipping promotion but now I know how much I'll be getting charged in customs. Their handling fee is ridiculous.
However the film itself looks good from what I've seen of it. Most of what Kenichi does is good so it should also. I would have preferred an L or a Krauser/Negishi combo pack but that's for another thread.
I really need to remind myself to watch the film.

Love that Becker figure. And, yes those buttons are a _____. I only messed with them once and that's it. He'll stay in that outfit. I'll use the vest elsewhere. I don't like the gloves much. I was rather excited about them out of the box, but was less enthused once they were on the hands.
I have mine with Vito. Although he doesn't ooze Italian mob, he does have a hitman vibe.

Nice review but just some correction though, when you mention the outer coat being brown, I assume you're referring to the trenchcoat right? If it is, the color is actually dark green, almost black but its definitely not brown. Otherwise, great review man.

The coat is no where near black. Is it dark green or brown? Whatever you say is fine by me.

yeah, I recently bought the pants, vest, trenchcoat for my custom xmen gambit. I was originally looking for a black coat cause the becker coat is pretty dark. After I ordered it, I realized I should have checked the others to see if maybe I could have got a better deal and kinda panicked when most of them started to describe it as dark green. Kinda frustrated at first cause i thought I ordered the wrong color as they may have come in green or black but it only came in one color. When I got it, its the first thing I checked, whether it truly was green and it was but its also soo dark its almost black though so I was fine with it.
