I really got a kick out of Brock's review.
The fact that he gave it 4 out of 5 Kurgan Bobbles
impressed me greatly. A Must See Movie.

I nearly died when I saw the Kurgan bobbles :lol

Great review Brock! I love the Die Hards too, and will definitely be seeing this one soon, if I can find some time somewhere

Although the Kurgan bobbles are very funny, I was excited that Underworld was mentioned in an article written by Brock. :monkey5

Hopefully I'll get a chance to see #4 in a couple weeks. Although the PG13 scared me it's good to know that there are a few f-bombs and bloody John McClane so it will have to do. :lol

Okay, I just feel the need to bring this up since this thread is talking about the PG-13 rating and the lack of motherF-bomb at the end of Yippi Ki Yah in the movie.

So, if my understanding is right, you can say an F-bomb twice in a PG-13 movie, yet if you add mother to the front of it, it's an automatic R.

Now, I was watching basic cable last night (during the prime time 8-10PM period, can't remember the channel but it was basic cable, not a pay channel like HBO or Showtime), and I distinctly heard a character tell someone "don't be such a pu$$e" -misspelled on purpose, but it can refer to a type of cat. Okay, how does it make sense that someone can say that word - which I consider as bad, if not worse, than the F-bomb - on basic cable and you can say 2 F-bombs in a PG-13, but adding mother to the end is an automatic R. Am I the only one who finds that arbitrary and plain stupid?

Okay, I was just curious about that. If anyone has dealt with this stuff before and can explain the reasoning, I would love to know.

Glad to hear this movie was worth watching, I didn't actually realise it was going to be rated a PG13 either.

I've got a long weekend off work next weekend, so I'll probably check it out then and drag the G/F along with me kicking and screaming.

Saying "mother******" = R rating

Saying "mother******" while drowning out the end with the sound of gunfire that kills one person and seriously injures another = PG-13 rating

:rotfl

I doubt there is a bigger Die Hard fan here than me ( I named my dog Johnathan McClane for Christ's sake), but I was very hesitant about the PG-13 rating. I can happily say that it really doesn't take anything away from the plot or character. I would still like to see an R rated director's cut DVD, but this movie was a lot better than I was expecting.

I think I read somewhere once that you are allowed to say **** in a PG-13 only if it is in a non sexual manner. For example you can say That's ****ed up, but you can't say let's ****. Maybe that is why you can't say mother****er since it is technically sexual.

Next time you review a movie you should rate it with these:

Are the Kurgan Bobbles meant to be another low blow at the kurgan community by the Brock?

At least Brock rhymes with something good, so we can at least hurl some clever insults his way.

Damn that Brock. Those Kurgan bobbles are recasts, pure and simple. He must be made to have them removed. Oh the inhumanity. I want my Kurgan bobble. Just one, and he has four. Damn that Brock.
