Does anyone actually like the Bruce Lee PF?

I mainly want to know from people who have it in their collection, or have seen it in person. I know I'm gonna get a whole lot of responses saying the likeness is horrible, and I'll admit I thought the same thing when it was first revealed. The more I'm looking at it though, the more I'm seeing at least a resemblance to Bruce, and I've actually come across a picture or two where he looks close to the way the PF looks.

So my question mainly to people who have this....Is this actually worth picking up? Is the likeness in your opinion at least passable? As you can see from my Sig, I'm a Bruce fan, and maybe I just want to see the likeness and that's why the more I look at it the more I'm warming up to it. I don't think that's the reason however, I think there's at least a resemblance like I said, and I'm a firm believer in the fact that no statue is gonna be perfect. The likeness on the Gandalf PF isn't perfect by any means and yet I'm still happy to have him in my collection. So let me know what you guys think, I'd like as many opinions as possible. We are all Bruce Lee fans in our family, especially my brothers and I, I have shown them the pics of the Bruce PF and ALL said it look nothing like Bruce.

I thought I read somewhere they were redoing the sculpt??? I maybe wrong. But I think it does need redoing.

I'm sure they have talented people and the figure is obviously licensed and why not do the best you can - please don't tell me that what they have on the site is the best they can do!!

I think its just a wasted opportunity to get a great Premium Format Figure on the market.

On a side note - I spoke to Linda lee last year when she was at SENI08 and she did say to me that there is only one company that is the best at reproducing the likeness of Bruce - and we all know who that is!

If you want a good piece to represent Bruce Lee, your only choice... Cinemaquette.
This one doesn't look THAT bad, but the CM is better.

It will cost you quite abit extra, but then again, it's probably gonna be the best Bruce Lee piece for a long, long, time.

I have it and I like it. The hair in the front may be a tad too long and not representative of Bruce Lee but he moves so fast in the films his hair is bound to sway back and forth like the statue.

Plus if you can take the shirts off and display him only in his Kung Fu pants, that is the money shot for sure!

I don't have it, but it doesn't look horrible from the pics people have posted. Also, I prefer the Enterbay figures, which look like better representations of Bruce Lee.

It all depends who you talk to. Some people have low standards and think it looks perfect.

Right now, enterbay is the only way to fly for great bruce lee products.

At the Comic-con I saw SS Bruce Lee and the Cinemaquette Bruce Lee and I thought the Cinemaquette one looked nothing like Bruce Lee either. I thought the likeness was way off. To me, if you want likeness, then Enterbay s the way to go.

I have been collecting Bruce Lee figures for years as well. There are SO MANY renditions out there and MOST are off the mark. That being said, if you are a fan and are willing to overlook the fact that it is not spot on, then go for it.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Honestly, I'm kind of ashamed to say, I don't have any Bruce Lee Collectibles. I only recently found out about Enterbay, and while the likeness on them is outstanding, I just don't really want a 12" Figure, and can't see paying the amount of money they are selling for. I want a Statue, and the CM is out as well, cause I just can't pay that much for one piece, and I don't think the likeness is perfect on that one either.

I guess maybe I'm leaning more towards the PF now cause for the price, I think it's probably the best option, and I want at least one statue of Bruce. Maybe I would get another if one comes out, maybe not. I know the likeness isn't great, but I think it at least resembles Bruce, and I wouldn't be ashamed to show it off to people....I think it would be pretty hard not to realize who it is. I know it sounds like I've already made up my mind, but I'm still thinking about it and would appreciate some more opinions from you guys. Thanks very much everyone.

From what I've seen there's not much to like. I'd rather not have this than have it when it doesn't look anything like Bruce Lee. I think you're mad to spend the money on this. It doesn't resemble Bruce, it only represents him. Not good enough. I'd rather wait than make do with this one.

Does it really matter what people say? I could sit here all day and tell you to only buy the Enterbays right now, but you probably still wouldnt right?

In my opinion, sure it "looks" like bruce lee because the PF has the same clothing, however the stance is uninspired....it could have been much more dynamic if they put more emotion into the same pose. Also, the headsculpt doesn't resemble Bruce Lee at all. So if youre willing to over look those things and have "some guy dressed like Bruce Lee" in your display, then go for it.

I should add....not trying to discourage you from buying the PF....however I am a huge Bruce Lee fan as well and the PF is not good enough for me to own. But if you really dig it then that's all that matters.

Well thanks for all the comments guys. I know all that matters is what I think, but it's still nice to get others take on it. I just don't want to secretly be laughed at if I end up getting it and show it off, even though I know it doesn't matter what others think, but in all honesty it does matter to me, especially when it's my hard earned money I put towards it. I live in HK, and Bruce Lee is a very well known figure here. Quite a local hero.

I would be embarrassed to display this thing in my home here. Please dont give Sideshow any money for this product. No problem with SS, but they need to understand this is unacceptable. Its practically insulting.

I would love a Bruce Lee PF. This is not one. This is asian dude PF. Maybe its the Bruce Lai PF.

If you are a fan, there are so many cooler ways to spend your cash on Bruce memorabilia. It doesnt have to be Enterbay or this. I own an Enterbay Bruce, and I can say it is a finely crafted piece of work. It is not a doll or a toy. But if thats not your thing, there are statues, prints, photos, autographs, lunch boxes, whatever. Anything but this PF. Please.

Okay I'm just gonna ask one more question......Do you guys honestly, and I mean honestly, think the likeness on the Bruce PF is worse than the likeness on the Frodo PF? Cause honestly like I said I think the PF at least resembles Bruce, where I don't think the Frodo PF even resembles Elijah Wood, yet I still might get it, and I know others have it as well and are happy with it. I mean it represents Frodo sure....but anyway maybe I'm just not as picky when it comes to likenesses or maybe I'm just seeing what I want to see, I don't know. Thanks again for all the opinions guys.
