if flag burning isn't illegal, then tossing a mexican flag should be ok by an all white jury.

now if a student that was mexican-american (not illegal) attending the school tossed an american flag, could the teacher sue his parents?

you're venturing from the point pix. yes, the teacher IS ignorant, but stupid people have rights in this country too. should this idiot have the right to express his feelings about other countries in his class? don't anti-american or anti-establishment types burn the american flag at public rallies in america and are not prosecuted? don't nazis have the law behind them to be able to demonstrate too? how screwed up is that?

the point is would there be just as much hoopla if the roles were reversed? seems it's no big deal when it's the american flag being crapped on. can anyone explain why that is?

as wonderful as it may sound for our world community to truly be multi-national, that world attitude change won't happen for at least 100 years after the next world war. probably out of necessity to survive the aftermath.

i will again attempt to make my point. like anyone has the right to burn an american flag, anyone else has the right to burn a foreign flag, or in this case, throw it in the trash. it has to be a two way street or else it's a double standard.

The kid survived, but the class was quite traumatized and the teacher was out of his friggin' gourd. Great times!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that's your opinion pix. i think you're wrong. like i said pix, if the student tossed an american flag in the trash, could the flag's owner sue him? it would be laughed out of court. you're defending the 'hate crime' philosophy which says that if a violent crime is done against a minority, then it's a hate crime and a federal offense. i've got news for you, all violent crime is a hate crime, no matter who the victim is. this division of standards separates our society way more than any white supremacist ever could.
