Happy Easter to all!

I have been contemplating, is the Dr. Doom Chalice worth the 600$ extra? Having the Dr. Doom at a grail status. Prices for it wont be going any lower. The current market value is 600$ difference between the Exclusive and the Regular on the average. I do like exclusive as much as I can, but 600$ for a chalice do make me re-think.

Anyway please share your thoughts....

It's not so much the chalice, but the exclusive title that costs the extra $600.

I'd say it's up to you. If you feel that you want the prestige of having the exclusive and that it's worth the extra $600, then go for it. However, if you just think that it's a cool looking statue that you'd like to have displayed in your collection, go with the regular and use the extra $600 to buy some other statues to go with your collection.

I don't think the chalice is really worth 600$, but if you are an exclusive collector, it might be worth it.

if you own the regular and buy the chalice it doesnt really make it a true exclusive.because the box is the regular and the entire package, figure and box doesnt say ex.so it still wont go as much as another true exclusive if you wanted to resell it.

I don't think he means buying a seperate chalice for $600 to go with the regular statue. He's asking if the extra accessory is worth the $600 more that the exclusive is selling for.

oh okay,l got ya now.thought he wanted to buy the chalice by its self for $600

Im choosing whether to buy an Exclusive Doom PF which cost around 1600-1400$ or a regular for 1000-900$. which is a difference of 500-600$ just for a Chalice?

I'm not buying a chalice for 600$ even if I have a regular. and I would think twice if there will be someone selling his chalice alone. It might be a recast of whatsoever.

a BIG NO...

Don't get the wrong, the chalice adds to the piece, but it isn't worth the big price difference imho. I have the regular and I am perfectly happy with it. I am actually surprised someone hasn't recast it yet and selling just the chalice in bulk.

it depends on wether you have the money for the extra peice.when look at the doom pics here l love the ex with the chalice but it depend on what you think,l know it can be a hard decision.l am thinking of getting a pred 1 SS maquette for $1,700 from a guy near me,thats lots of money it just depends on how bad you want him and what you prefure reg or ex.

pretty much no "grail" is worth the price they sell for ....
.... is that chalice that costs probably $10 to make worth the $600 difference ? .... :monkey1

Chalice worth $600.....NO. though the chalice combined with the lower ES yes.:D

Let's not forget the pretty pedestal that comes with the chalice. :D

I've had both - and I like the exclusive extras...but back when I got mine I only paid around $150 more.

I always try for the Exc if its the same price or just a few dollars more but no way would I pay $600 extra. I just don't see the die hard appeal of a number on the bottom of a statue. They made 1500 Doom PF's even if some only say 500.
