Sorry about the late update. Tonight's review was actually done a couple days ago, but I was out on the town with my twins - it's their birthday today.

Poor Jack Bauer. Nobody could stop this guy, not terrorists, not corrupt politicians, not an idiot teenage daughter. But then the writer's strike killed his season, and now DST has brought out a 12" version of the character that might do more damage than Kim Bauer ever could. I have my review up tonight.

I also have a guest review up from Jeff Parker of the two versions of Leon from Hot Toys Resident Evil line. You can find all the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

I have to say, he doesn't look as terrible as I expected... but man alive those clothes :google

And if you are going to copy the Buck (I do think its slightly different) why remove the wrist joints... probably one of the best working parts?!?

Those clothes are a riot! :rotfl He looks like he came right out of an episode of Starsky and Hutch.

No, it's the Buck. It doesn't have the new improvements, but it's pretty much identical to the body Connor is sporting. Remember, SS used to remove the forearms with different sculpts depending on the character, like the Frankenstein Monsters.

The sculpting looked different, some differences in the sculpt lines being deeper and the nipple :)lol) placement (centered vs sides). Unless maybe its an older buck... but I broke out one I had handy and compared it the one here.

Bauer looks more like Lee Majors.

Yea, you might be right. The nipples do look a little different...but the body is the same in terms of articulation, right down to the funky shoulders.

Maybe its just because I'm used to the SSC figures but Jack's head looks really small to me.....

Those forearms don't look like they belong on the same body as the rest of the parts.

And just judging by the pictures, I think Michael is being far too generous with the head sculpt. I have the Medicoms, and while the sculpts aren't perfect, I can see Keifer in them. On this one I can't see Keifer at all. If it didn't say "24" on the box, I'd just think Ken had a really bad day.

The only thing good I think I could say about this figure is that perhaps it uses the Buck because SSC is blowing them out due to rolling in a new body...hmm?

Majestic had a similar body to the Buck... and had the removable mid-forearm. Maybe that's where DST got them.

Yea, it's partly because of the SS heads being slightly too big, but it's also because of the outfit being so large, making the head look even tinier. Still, as I said in the review, I do think it's a bit too small.

I do hope that DST will learn from this figure and work a bit harder on the next one. For a first effort it really could be a lot worse... but with 1/6 being getting more and more focused on high end stuff like this just doesn't cut it.

As possibly the biggest Jack Bauer fan on the forums....I'm going to refrain from commenting on that p.o.s.
