Ebay problem from Hong Kong

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place. But I had bought and paid insurance for 3 Sota Street Fighter Preview Figures Ryu, Ken, and Akuma from a seller from Hong Kong. I received the package today but I have issues with the packing. First I only received Ryu and Akuma and Ken is missing. Also the Ryu and Akuma boxes was just wrapped in brown paper bag which the boxes is totally destroyed but the figures is ok, but I was plan on keeping it in the box. I had emailed the seller and waiting for a reply. How can you tell if insurance was paid from Hong Kong postage.

insurance is for the seller not the buyer. give the seller a chance to reply and see what you two can work out. worse case..you can file a claim through paypal and get a refund.

Also before you file with paypal you may want to call them up since you have two problems with your order. The first being your missing an item and the second the others being damaged. Paypal gives you two options, one being the item never arrived and the other the items are significantly not as described. Once you choose one of those options and it's the wrong one it's a pain to try and fix it.

Yeah, I'm going to email them 3 times. If no answer on the 3rd email, I will open a dispute with paypal.

looks like you're screwed. Sorry, but I don't see a recourse. Even if he offered you a refund, are you going to ship them back. I would leave negative feedback in CAPS stating BAD PACKING JOB caused damage to collector's box and maybe he will get the point.

really does sound irresponsible on the seller's part. You may be able to file a claim, but PP will most likely require you to return the item, and depending on how much you spent, probably not worth it.

Also if you paid with a credit card through paypal you could do a chargeback.

Ok, just wanted to update. After the long wait paypal came through in my favor. And the paypal transaction was reversed with a full refund! Not partial FULL! And the funny thing is that the seller only wanted to compensate me only $6. Plus he received 3 negative feedback which he/she deserves.
