Ebay Re-Lists ???

Guys this is like the 3rd or 4th ebay re-list I've seen this week, wth is going on out there in evilbay? Is there really that many faker bidders, fake pieces or just really bad business!!!

Uh, guess there's really no problem but I've been watching these on evilbay just to get an idea of what I should be spending in order to build my collection but it seems to me that I'm getting re-list e-mails back from e-bay, I guess on buyers backing out of there bids...

Heck if it were me and I got a ^^^^ty statue then i would want a refund as well LOL! I just can't believe the scamming and the fakeness that this hobby is surrounded by and I'm just beginning to build my collection!

The only fakes to be worried about in Marvel line so far are:

IM Ex
Hulk vs. Spidey

Don't buy anything from Singapore, Taiwan, Phillipines. Heck, I wouldn't buy any of these statues from anywhere but the US due to rougher handling and transportation.

I don't know of any others fakes yet (they'll show up soon enough), so don't worry too much. I was saying the same thing you were about getting into the hobby a little late only a year or two ago. Don't worry, soon you'll have too much and running out of space.

Well I'm definately glad for these forums man and helpful ppl like urself! Just pre-ordered TDK Joker, Batman and the IM MarkIII on the Hot Toys side, so the room/space I believe will only become the evident for me! :maul

Yeah, I've been noticing that too!! Well, atleast for SIMs..... A few have gone back up due to "Non-paying bidder"...... Sounds like people may be having there friends bid on these to get the price up, but no one ends up bidding.... It just seems that people have caught on that the SIM is a hot item right now, and EVERYONE is trying to unload these for a HIGH price. THIS is the reason that I am waiting it out... I have a feeling that demand for these are going to go down, which will eventually bring the prices down.......... Hopefully

I'm right there with you... I think I'm gonna pass on the SIM for the time being, while the price is so high... I think it'll go down in a bit.....

Hmmm oh well, wishful thinking, I think he's still very affordable but I'm chasing for both IM's, LMAO too bad for me huh?! I really don't care on price as long as it's in super mega mint condition... I know.. I know... every statue has a flaw but if it's miniscuel, I'm good!

SIM will only get more expensive from here. It's relatively cheap considering what other items in the Marvel line go for. Plus, you have to factor in that many people are destroying the ES of the original by getting repaints. Finding a truly mint SIM will be hard. Some people kept their first batch scuffed up SIMs as well. Be careful out there.

I dont think this piece will go up... especially on Ebay. The thing is, even if you have an original Iron Man to sell, people are way too scared to buy him on Ebay now. I wouldn't be surprised to see fake Hulks in the near future, he is very easy to recast... if they can do the Hulk and Spidey Dio, they will have an easy job doing the Hulk PF.

I know, yea, the clothing is harder to replicate. But its not like the clothing on Captain America or the Thor PF. Hulk's pants are not that integrated to the polystone. I hope it doesn't happen anyway...
I know a lot of people have said "so what if there is recasts", but the truth is they do more damage to the hobby than they want to admit. It adds the element of doubt to every purchase.
