eBay scammer!!dont sell to" penpen8"

Hi I recently sold a brand new HT IM secret project to a guy and afer he received it he told me the box is tear and is not what I was sell . I told him to deal with insurance but he said if USPS doesn't take care him, he have to ask me to solve the problem, what should I do? I don't think USPS will pay him anything for box only, I feel I got scammed.

Tell him to take pics and send them to you. That is the first step to tell if he is full of ****.

Dealing with insurance on a package is the responsibility of the sender also.

If you don't want to deal with the guy, tell him to send the item back to you and you'll refund the original cost and shipping. He'll be out of pocket for the return shipping...and this is in line with Ebay and Paypal policies on refunds.

If he wants you to knock some of the price off, then you know you're being scammed.

Damn.... I hate eBay, how does the box even tear? I feel this guy have another one and just want to scammed me with his own tear box. I have checked before I ship it and it was perfect. If he file Paypal I still have to pay him back right ?

You always always take your own photos of the stuff your selling before hand. Every inch of it. I've even gone as far as having a video camera rolling in the car where I pack it and tape up and show myself walking into the post office.

Do what I suggested. Offer him a full refund upon you receiving the item back. Make sure you do it through Ebay messages. Then if he files a claim with Paypal, you'll have the history where you offered the full refund and he refused it.

Similar thing happened to me last year. The end result: I got a negative from the guy...that's it, lol. He was doing the same thing this buyer is doing: trying to scam you into a partial refund.

Oh boy, here we go again. That is why I refuse to use Ebay and Paypal. They both scam havens. Recently I got scammed like that by a buyer on here.

So far I have been lucky. My boxes have come in tact. I double wrap it using bubble wrap, then I use double corrugated cardboard.

You always always take your own photos of the stuff your selling before hand. Every inch of it. I've even gone as far as having a video camera rolling in the car where I pack it and tape up and show myself walking into the post office.

This is exactly what I do. I have started recording everything as I'm taping it up, putting on the label and handing it to the postman. I have no time to be screwed over.

If you didn't offer Insurance, or the postage company didn't, then you don't really have to do anything....He can make a claim, bit if No insurance was offered, then too bad for him! If it left you in good condition - then thats all you say - the truth. He will come undone...

Check his feedback to see if he is buying damaged goods? He may be pulling a switch.

Not sure how it works if he has to send you the item back first then you refund him or the other way around.
Sounds like a cluster FK to me.

Ebay's policy is that he sends it back at his cost and upon receipt you send his refund of the original price and original shipping charge.

Yea I just told him and he is Senting it back to me, I am sure he switch the box since there is no way the box got damage bad if is HT brown box.
