For anybody that has Emma, could you take a look at her cloak and answer a couple of questions for me.

One, is the inside of the cloak (toward Emma) painted with the same glossy pearl color as the backside, and is it as smooth?

Second, on the inside of the cloak, about a little below center toward the left side, is there something that looks like a rectangular patch about 1/2 inch tall by 1/4 inch wide (approximately)?

I'm trying to decide if these are problems or normal; from the pictures on here and at Statue Forum, I can't quite tell.

If you haven't gotten an answer in the next 5 hours, I'll let you know as I held onto the cape when I shipped my regular.

Thanks. I'm about 75% toward a return at this point unless everyone's turns out to look like mine as well...

Nop its not! The outside is smooth but not the inside.

Thank you p!tu!!! That helped a lot. I think mine is rougher on the inside and I couldn't see the "patch" on yours, so I guess it's a return for me. I will try to get pictures tonight and post them so you guys can see what I'm talking about before I contact SS...

I was just going to suggest you put up some pics so we can compare. I think I noticed the same little patch you were talking about but I really had to strain to make it out.

Ok, I know this is hard to see in the pictures, so I outlined it on one just to show what I am talking about. It is a little easier to spot in person.

On second inspection, the "roughness" on the inside wasn't as bad as I thought it was, but the "patch" is still there, so if anyone can spot this on theirs as well, I won't return her. The reason I think it may be on others, is I could "almost" spot it in pictures from others, but not enough to be sure.

Lonnie, mine has the same thing in the same spot. I'm sure it had something to do with the mold. You're not likely to get anything different via a replacement.

Thanks! That's what I was hoping to hear! I haven't had good luck with the last two or three returns, and it has taken like three tries each time, so I was hoping to avoid returning Emma... especially since the figure is almost perfect!

OH! and 5000th post!!! Wooo Hooo!

Wow, no offense but that isn't even a problem in my opinion. It's is ok to be picky but there has to be a point where you accept things. SS products are never perfect, NEVER. No matter how many times you return something, you will always find a flaw. Their QC is poop. Most of my items, especially lately, have something that I don't like about them but I had to live with them.

It all depends... if everyone's has that spot, then obviously it isn't an "issue" and I don't have a problem with it and wouldn't even consider returning it, but if mine was unique and a repair or patch had occurred at the factory and painted over, then yes, I would have returned it, and no, that wouldn't have been picky. For the money we pay for these items, there is no excuse to get one that has been repaired, even if it is almost un-noticeable. While I don't collect for the value of the piece or for investment, I am smart enough to think about the future and how something like that could affect a future sale if I even needed to part with it. While I don't expect perfection, I do expect a problem-free product.

I have checked mine and its also rougher on the same spot then the rest of the cape. So i think its a norm and i can live with it.
