At this time, we would like to inform you that this item has arrived unexpectedly into our warehouse, sooner than expected. We will BEGIN “pre-authorizing” credit cards for this purchase on Monday, May 14, 2007, in the sequence in which all of the pre-orders for this item were placed. A “pre-auth” is not a direct charge, but is a “hold” of funds pending the shipment of your order. Your credit card will be charged once the item is shipped from our warehouse.

I'm pissed at them for doing this, first the disinformation about these coming in another month, and very soon after they say they're going to start charging cards, pathetic communication from Sideshow on this issue.

I have most of the money for this but a wait list item that recently converted puts that at issue. I'll have to ask them to wait on charging my card.

I understand your frustration, but it might be something not under their control. Like customs, or freight unloading. I know when I shipped my car from CA to HI, my friend's car was loaded right before mine, we crossed the ocean on the same vessel, and for some reason when it got to Hawaii, I got my car two weeks after him. Two weeks it took them to unload the car. Who knows why, the shipper didn't.

So I imagine it must be something like that for SS. Between when it ships out of China and cleared for delivery, SS must have very little first-hand knowledge of any information.

I got the Pre-Auth this morning too, which pisses me off more because I didn't have the money for her in the account yet. I called Sideshow to delay it so hopefully the real charge won't go through otherwise I have a Bank penalty.

It may not be under their control but telling us on Monday that it will be 20-30 days out then on that Friday telling us that they'll start charging cards the next Monday is inexcusable. They didn't even give us enough time to call in to them, they sent that now charging on Monday email to me at 6:44 PM Friday, and I call today just an hour after they start taking customer service calls and they already charged my card the Pre-Auth. I'm at least glad that I didn't spend most of the money for Emma in the week between the two emails otherwise I'd have to cancel my order.

I was pre-charged also yesterday. I even got an e-mail saying that due to huge size of the package, SS will not be able to send scarface bust and emma together.

Yeah, that is a good point. I got mine on Friday afternoon as well. Good luck on juggling for this. I think it will be worth it.

if anyone is interested in selling their emma to me, that would be great! the prices on ebay are alot more than retail. i got into the game too late but if some kind soul no longer wants their emma, i will be sure to give her a good home.
